LIVE! From Minneapolis
Monday 6th November
The show got off with a bang as 'The Impression That I Get’ hit the speakers and the crowd were on their feet. Newly crowned Television champion, Arley Kirk, came out, mic in one hand, title in the other. She waited for the cheers to die down before hyping up the Minneapolis crowd. Her message was very simple, it was her mission to become the greatest Television Champion in this companies history, and to set the standard for anyone that holds this belt moving forward. As everyone knows, if you defend the title five times in a row, you can relinquish the belt for a shot at either the Openweight or North American Championship, and that’s exactly what she intends to do. It was big talk, but she seemed confident it would come to be.
OPENER: SINGLES MATCH
Otto Nova v Jack Rose
Newly crowned Tag Team champ Otto went one on one with newcomer Rose, himself one half of a emerging team in Mullet Club. The action was every bit as wild as their haircuts, with both young men dazzling the crowd before brawling onto the outside following a suicide dive from Nova. Neither man found his way back to the ring in time, fighting through the crowd and loving every second of it. The Referee was given no alternative though, counting them both out as the brawl continued.
Winner: Draw (Double count out)
We go backstage where Griffin Hawkins is sitting against the wall in his locker room, the Openweight Title resting on his lap. He sees the camera man and begins to speak.
Griffin Hawkins: I don't do a lot of talking on this show. But in light of recent events, I felt I should speak on a few things. On Devil's Night..I went toe to toe with none other than AJ Rivera. He came out strong...but he wasn't prepared for me. I had already beaten him once...but this time it counted as I proved that my first victory was no fluke as I am now your new Openweight Champion. But it seems that my work here is not done yet....why don't we look at who's barking at my door....let's start with the guy who's been making a lot of noise lately...
A smile comes across his face.
Griffin Hawkins: Ryan Samuels...the Midwest Nightmare. Ryan old buddy...I just want to say congratulations on your big victory. No I'm serious...I really mean it. You managed to bring down the giant. That itself should earn you a good round of applause. Not because you did the impossible...but because for once in your career you did something right. You spent the last few months running around shouting for Kanaka to come out of retirement to face you just so you can send him back into retirement. But right now...I don't think you even know what to do with yourself. In your pea brain...you're not sure where to go from here. Well, I got news for you cowboy, there is only one place for you to go and that is down. See Ryan...unlike you I didn't have to beg for somebody to come out of retirement to fight me to make an impact, I went and picked a fight with AJ Rivera and took his gold. And now..you're going to be in for a fight that you can't win. Last time you and me got in the ring together, you got yourself disqualified after you realized you couldn't beat me. This time..I'm walking out with the win.
He takes hold of the title.
Griffin Hawkins: And then we have Andrew Raynes..someone who's been making a lot of guarantees lately. He promised to bring home the Undisputed Title...only he came up short. And it seems that he's taking his frustrations and his failures out on Chelsea Leclair..instead of focusing on her, he should be focused on this match...otherwise another chance is going to slip through his fingers. They say that those who fail to learn from history are always going to be doomed to repeat it. Now, the title may not be on the line..but I know at this point Raynes that you're desperate for any kind of championship. You want prove that you're everything you say you are? Step on up to the plate..show me what you got. But I will say this..it doesn't matter if it's you....or Samuels. Somebody's gonna get rocked!
He gets up and walks off as we go back to the ring.

LOW CARD: SUBMISSION MATCH
Journeyman Phillips v Tinsley Nolan
Tinsley was understandably fired up for this one after last week's surprise actions from Phillips. The veteran looked composed, almost dismissive of his opponent's chances here given his technical prowess and experience, and his early dominance only increased his confidence. But as things wore on Nolan was able to hold her own, escaping some difficult situations and increasingly putting the pressure on the Englishman. She found herself in a position of power, much to Phillip's surprise and locked on the Rainbow Rage (Seated fujiwara armbar) in the centre of the ring! Philips tried to wriggle free, but couldn't find the space. Suddenly though two women appeared on the ring apron, having come through the crowd. The Referee turned his attention just as Journeyman began to concede, tapping the mat furiously in pain. Tinsley looked around, not hearing the bell or seeing the Ref as the two women entered the ring. She released the hold and turned to find out what the commotion was only to be closelined from nowhere by one of the women. A two on one beat down then began as the Ref rang the bell, signalling the end of the match. Phillips climbed to his feet and watched before embracing the two young women, each of them laughing with satisfaction.
Winner: No contest
Phillips called for a microphone. He introduced the two women as his daughters, Betty and Juno Phillips, and warned anyone associated to the Salaveas, or anyone who goes against them, they would suffer the same fate as Tinsley had tonight. He wouldn't waste his time calling the Salaveas out to prove what everyone already knew - the Phillips family were the greatest bloodline to ever grace this industry. Instead they would set their sights on what really mattered; winning titles and cementing their legacy.
LOW CARD: SINGLES MATCH
TATER v Dazzling Dynamo
A highly competitive match between these two newcomers was lively from the off. A heated exchange of words online had fired both of these men up as they looked to pick up a big first win here. Dynamo dazzled every bit as much as his name suggests, making himself an instant hit with the fans, but Tater too was winning them over, and sealed himself a statement victory after getting his knees up on Dynamo's Stardust Splash before finishing things with a MASHER-BOMB (Pop-up Sitout Elevated Powerbomb).
Winner: TATER
LOWER MID CARD: SINGLES MATCH
Chelsea LeClair v Roni Tyler
LeClair was not her usual happy self when coming to the ring, strictly business and eager to get things underway. Her hot hotheadedness was her downfall to begin with, despite an early flurry of offence, as Tyler took great pleasure in dominating her riled-up opponent. However, despite her flaws she was able to dig deep here and channel the anger into an impressive turnaround of events and get the match over the line with a Jersey Drop (Diamond Cutter).
Winner: Chelsea LeClair
New signing Ace Sky is seen sitting backstage.
Ace Sky: My sights are set on the Television Title. The competitors this week are two talents who have tenacity yet lack the experience I have. Despite what you may assume by my ring name I am all about technique, possibly to a fault. I relate a lot to Arley. We both share that background as former backyard wrestlers. I used to skateboard. It’s been 20 years since I last used my skateboard, We definitely have to do that. She’s a cool person, with a great attitude.
I relate to Andrew Garrison in loving to fight, I wouldn’t say I was aggressive growing up, I was small and I grew up in Texas where the ubiquitous love for everything big is not just a stereotype, I never had a napoleon complex I just had a philosophy of southern values of civility with irreverence towards injustice. Early on I realized I may be small in size therefore I must be big in action.
I don’t believe in labels, The only distinction I make between people is sayers and doers. I am a doer, it is not cocky to ignore the sayers, if they had the drive, the spirit they’d be doing it too, not looking back. Ya gotta leave them in the dust, coughing up the fumes while burnt from the fire in your soul. I continue to do this because it’s a sickness, it’s an obsession I have had since I was a toddler when I sat down with my older brother watching pro wrestling and Bruce Lee movies.

MID CARD: TELEVISION TITLE MATCH
Arley Kirk (c) v Andrew Garrison
A maiden defence for Kirk against the domineering Garrison, who secured his shot by winning last weeks debutant Battle Royal. Garrison was very cocksure this would go his way, and it looked to be the case early on, his powerful presence dominating the smaller Kirk. It took a valiant display to overturn things and that's exactly what she did, digging deep before wrapping things up with a AK-95 (Cartwheel cravate driver) to retain the title. Disappointment for Garrison but in just two matches he had quickly established himself as a contender for future gold.
Winner: Arley Kirk (Still Television Champion)
Chelsea LeClair was backstage with Emma Harrington. She still has a lot on her mind, and plenty to say. Tonight's win didn't prove much. Sure it was hard fought and a good win against a strong competitor, but she deserved to be higher up the bill, and competing for titles. Tiffany Lynn Page then comes into shot, a mocking yawn as LeClair speaks. She tells her to give it a rest. When she's actually won something here she might get to be the Main Event, just like she is. LeClair's not happy, and says it's has-beens like her that are stealing her opportunity. Page is quick to respond though. She says the Main Event is for perfectionists, athletes and bona fide superstars, not crack addicts like her. They stare one another down before we cut back to ringside.
UPPER MID CARD: NORTH AMERICAN TITLE MATCH
Khloe Bell (c) v Callie Renton
This was Renton’s first ever title shot and she looked hell bent on making it count, but Bell's superior experience soon shone through. She was enjoying making light work of the popular Renton, joking around that this was going to be an easy victory. But her arrogance got the better of her in the end, as Renton fought back form nowhere and pushed her all the way. It looked like an upset was on the cards, that the North American Title she had held from day one was about to slip through her finger tips, but Bell had endurance and a second wind to reverse it back and steal the win with a Cradle Piledriver (Hell's Bells). It took some work and even a kick out Renton's finisher, The Heiress (Top Rope Corkscrew Stunner). Meanwhile Renton had more than earned her right to compete at this level.
Winner: Khloe Bell (Still North American Champion)
HEADLINER: TRIPLE THREAT MATCH
Andrew Raynes v Ryan Samuels v Griffin Hawkins
Three big names come face to face to face here, and it was every bit as hard-hitting as you'd imagine. A plethora of experience, but a mix of styles, neither one of them looked out their depth, despite the strength of opposition. New Openweight Champion Hawkins was the obvious target, but a high profiled win here was most important for any man. Raynes and Hawkins found Samuels' brute strength difficult at times to contend with, likewise him with Hawkins' high flying style. Every time he connected a lariat there was no let up, with the other man straight on his back. Raynes though came through with the appropriately named Game Changer (Spinning Elbow), followed by a Tazzmission on Samuels to pick up an impressive victory.
Winner: Andrew Raynes
MAIN EVENT: FATAL FOUR WAY MATCH
Jessi Ozborne v Nessa Reckless v Tiffany Lynn Page v Kore Violet
Kore and Nessa have been calling each other out for some time now, and while the one on one match they crave still eludes them, they’d at least get another chance to get their hands on one another. Standing in between though was Jessi Ozborne, fresh off the back of securing one half of the Tag Team Titles, and the experienced TLP, herself eager to get back in the title picture following last week’s Television Title defeat. The four women stood in their respective corners, eyeing one another up and awaiting the bell. Once it rang they all came flying out the traps as though everyone of them had been on a leash up to this point. It was a feisty, competitive affair, as expected. Violet, the reigning Undisputed champion, was by no means the favourite against these highly decorated wrestlers, and understandably had the target on her back, with any pinfall over her resulting in an automatic title shot. That said she was nothing if not smart, and kept her rivals at bay for the majority of the match up. Ozborne had come to 5LW with her sights set on Tag Team domination, but was every bit in her comfort zone here, looking the most likely to cause at upset in the opening stages. Nessa seemed largely interested in seeking out Kore, securing that pinfall and getting her shot at the title, sometimes to her detriment. Page on the other hand was content in biding her time, attacking each of the three women when they least expected it, calculated as ever. It was rising singles star Nessa Reckless though that got this over the line, after a merry go round of close calls, she hit a Jumping Cutter on Ozborne to get the win. A stare down with Kore in the centre of the ring followed, the final image of an eventful night.
Winner: Nessa Reckless
