LIVE! From Madison
Monday 23rd November
Frank James came out at the start of the show, and announced his plans for the remainder of the year. Following tonight they would venture into Milwaukee before the final 3 stops in Ontario, climaxing with a two night event in Toronto. The matches for these shows would obviously be announced nearer the time but rest assured it would go off with a bang. ALL titles will be defended, with no.1 contenders to some of those belts to also be determined, ready for the new year relaunch. He was excited to see the debuts of the new superstars tonight, and promised another huge name had this week put pen to paper with the company. He wouldn't say who but promised they would hear from HER later tonight. What's more a 5LW original was in the building and would be returning very soon, but again he was tight lipped, leaving much to be speculated. He promised more announcements next week in the run up to Toronto about what's in store.
OPENER: TAG TEAM MATCH
Ace Sky & Griffin Hawkins v Andrew Garrison & Tater
Sky and Hawkins seemed to gel together nicely, a mutual understanding of the job at hand right from the off. Garrison was less enamoured by his choice his partner, as Tater entertained the crowd in and outside of the ring throughout. When the bell rang he was strictly business but after a while they seemed more interested in potentially fighting each other, which Sky and Hawkins naturally capitalised on. In the end Garrison floored Tater from behind and left him to be picked off by Hawkins and Sky, who were on top throughout this encounter.

Backstage an irate Andrew Garrison was being interviewed by Emma Harrington. He wasn't happy being paired with Tater tonight. In his eyes Tater was a joke wrestler, not to be taken seriously, and had cost him an opportunity tonight to put his name in the title picture. Harrington suggested they settle their difference in the ring sometime, which Garrison was more than happy to do so.
LOW CARD: SINGLES MATCH
Dazzling Dynamo v Jack Rose
Dynamo dazzled here early on and the fans loved him for it. Rose’s recent ventures into singles action have not paid off but tonight the stars aligned and he pulled off an impressive win with a superkick from nowhere. He made the pin and jumped into the crowd to celebrate.
Winner: Jack Rose
Callie Renton was backstage, psyching herself up for tonight’s match when Arley Kirk came passing by en route to the ring. Renton wished her luck, not that she needed it, she said. Kirk appreciated the compliment but was humble enough to admit it was no forgone conclusion, particularly in a triple threat match. She paid the compliment back, advising her not to get hung up on defeats and setbacks, she’d been watching her time here in 5LW and said a title would come her way before long. Renton thanked her and joked that it might be Kirk’s. Kirk gave her a wink. ‘Over my dead body,' she replied, before heading to the ring.

TELEVISION TITLE MATCH
Arley Kirk (c) v Nessa Reckless v Iida Matsuda
Defence number two for champion Kirk, as she entered the ring to a huge reception. Gold-hungry Nessa didn’t wait for the bell as things got underway. Reckless has been touted as a potential opponent for Undisputed Champion Kore Violet, and looked a credible challenger to any title in the opening exchanges. But it was never easy to stay on top with an uneven number of competitors, and after a melee of close calls and near misses this match was finally won by Kirk with the RipLash (Berkocet) on Matsuda, who herself had come close to victory once or twice prior.

Backstage in a dressing room Chris Styles is seen sitting in a chair with a distant look on his face. We then see his younger sister Zoey Styles glaring right at something and even smiling. Chris kind of breaks from his distant look or deep in thought or whatever you might want to call it, noticing his Sister standing literally in front of the camera crew smiling and waving.
Chris Styles: Uh….
Zoey Styles: Hey there I am Zoey Styles nice to meet you camera.
Chris Styles: Zoey….
Zoey Styles: Tonight I manage my brother over there to a win here in Madison.
Chris Styles: Zoey…..
Chris kind of sighed as his sister continued to ignore him.
Zoey Styles: It’s a pleasure to meet you cameraman make sure you get a nice zoom in on my brother over there who is one of the most powerful wrestlers in the world. He is Chris Styles who tonight is going to go out to that ring and DESTROY JAY SINCLAIR! YEAH!
Chris Styles: ZOEY!!!!!!!!
Chris yelling her name finally got her attention and she turned towards him with one of those what the hell type of looks as Chris stood up to his feet.
Zoey Styles: What? Jesus no need to yell…..
Chris Styles: You don’t need to make nice with the camera man he is just here to do his job and look in on me before my match tonight for Five Lakes Wrestling obviously.
Zoey Styles: I was just being polite gosh….
Chris Styles: Oh is that what that was?
Zoey Styles: Yes, of course!
Chris shook his head and even got a half smile across his face as he now looked directly at the camera.
Chris Styles: Now my sister said destroy…. I mean Jay Sinclair I am not a destroyer let me make that clear.
Zoey Styles: Unless he’s under the influence of drugs or alcohol…..
Chris Styles: WHICH I AM NOT…. I am a recovering drug addict and alcoholic. So with that being said Jay Sinclair I am looking forward to facing you in that ring tonight. I am looking forward to being out in front of those fans out there and tearing the house down with what I hope is one hell of a competitive match Jay.
Zoey rolls her eyes at her brother and even yawns…..
Zoey Styles: Boring… Tell them about how you can rip a man’s arms off and beat them with them!
Chris Styles: No, that just isn’t a thing Zoey.
Zoey Styles: It is if you believe in it!
Chris Styles: Lord help me with this one…. Anyways Jay Sinclair good luck tonight I do plan to beat you and have my arm raised in victory but also am looking forward to a great match that tests me and pushes me truly.
Zoey Styles: YOU ARE GOING DOWN JAY!!!!
With that Chris shakes his head and sits back down in the chair he was previously sitting in while Zoey opens their dressing room door signalling for the camera man to leave.

LOW CARD: DEBUT SHOWCASE
Illuminati PROJEKT v The Journeywomen
Family business was on the agenda here as half-sisters Betty and Juno squared off against the Niece and Uncle duo in Gwen and Monty Margolis. With Journeyman Phillips lingering on the outside of the ring Illuminati PROJEKT needed to be wary and rightly so as he tried to intervene on a number of occasions. Monty though was on hand to physically throw him out the ring and over the barricade as Gwen stepped up to get the win, instantly winning the fans over with this one.

LOWER MID CARD: SINGLES MATCH
Chris Styles v Jay Sinclair
Sinclair’s fortunes have ebbed and flowed throughout his time in 5LW, but the former Openweight Champion was always a formidable opponent for any would be challnger. Styles was brushing off the cobwebs having returned to the limelight after a lengthy absence, but the crowd were quick to get behind him in what was no doubt a baptism of fire. A fair match for one another, this had all the qualities of a match for higher up the card, but there could only be one winner in the end, as the STYLES CRUSH (Closeline From Hell) got one over the line for a big debut win.
Winner: Chris Styles
Winner: Chris Styles
An unknown man came out to the ring came out to the ring and introduced himself as Juan Fall. He was masked, and had a muffled accent. He said clearly Juan Fall was not his real name, but instead an alter ego he had created to wrestle under. That way no one would know who he really was and he could wrestle freely, without pressure or judgement. There were many others like him, and collectively they were known as the Masked Hipsters. More would present themselves in due course, and he extended the invitation to join should others which to perform freely like them. Even he did not know who was sometimes under the mask of his fellow stablemates. He would introduce one other tonight though. A colossal masked man then stepped out from the back, dressed in black spandex which rested on one shoulder. He was at least seven feet tall, and stepped over the ropes with ease. Juan introduced him as El Hawaiano Gigante and offered anyone the chance to take him on next week should they be brave enough. El Hawaiano Gigante did not speak but the commentators felt there was something very familiar about him.
LOWER MID CARD: SINGLES MATCH
Travis Levitt v Leati Salavea
Like Styles, debuting Levitt was given a difficult first test against the powerful Leati. A respectful encounter was served up though, as these two pushed one another to a high standard, neither really getting so much as a two count. This one had an unsavoury ending though as Journeyman Phillips came out to the ring and distracted Leati from the ropes, who naturally lashed out. Levitt wasn't really aware of the situation but instinctively capitalised and picked up the win with a RESURRECTION KICK (Claymore Kick). Seeing Phillips on the outside though after the bell, he began to put two and two together and down-dialled his celebrations, helping Leati to his feet who stared down the retreating veteran.
Winner: Travis Levitt
Winner: Travis Levitt
MID CARD: SINGLES MATCH
Tinsley Nolan v Patti Rose
Not the veteran Tinsley would have liked to get her hands on tonight but a formidable opponent none the less. Her pent up aggression almost cost her early on but in the end spurred her to overcome Patti's strong start to the match. 'The Bullet with the Mullet' seemingly goes into every match as an underdog, despite surprising everyone she faces with unexpected energy and abilities. But Nolan was up for this one after the past couple of weeks, and released her emotions with A mour brisé (Pumphandle Lift dropped into a Reverse STO). Clearly relieved, she pointed at the camera and made no bones about who she and the Salaveas wanted to get into the ring with.
Winner: Tinsley Nolan
The crowd were on their feet next as Chelsea LeClair made a surprise entrance, despite not being booked tonight. The fans were excited as always to see her, as she headed out in full ring gear. Pacing around the ring she said she was tired of missed opportunities, it felt like she was always taking one step forward and two steps back. Not being booked tonight was, in her eyes, another missed opportunity to show what she was capable of and get herself back into the title picture. Specifically.. the North American Title picture. So she was offering an open challenge to ANYONE in the back that wants to face her, right now. The crowd cheered as she paced around the ring some more, waiting and waiting. But nobody came. Chelsea looked disappointed. She started to thank the fans and climb out of the ring when ‘History’s Stranglers’ by The Bronx hit the speakers. The crowd were on the feet again as SALLY LAMBERT appeared at the top of the ramp, for the first time in three months. Lambert entered the ring and accepted her challenge as the match got underway.
OPEN CHALLENGE: SINGLES MATCH
Chelsea LeClair v Sally Lambert
Lambert was pumped, after several months out of the ring she was full of energy and eager to remind the fans what she was capable of. LeClair didn't know what had hit her at first, as Lambert beat her around the ring, but LeClair soon fought back, as the two went back and forth in a fiery encounter. A wry smile was on both their faces as they paused for breath, the crowd cheering, before going back at it, hammer and tongs. LeClair looked like she might be about face the music but a clever reversal was followed by a strong roll up and she just about made the three count in the nick of time, to secure the win and leave with her head held high. Lambert though had made her mark with a fine return.

MID CARD: HARDCORE RULES
Andrew Raynes v Journeyman Phillips
Two veterans given free rein to bring the house down, and that they did. The announcers tables were quickly obliterated, and there were more chair shots than seemed humanly possible. Both men were a bloody mess, giving it hell for leather throughout, a clear dislike for another spurring things on. But Raynes was the last man standing here, adding a big name to add to his resumé, as he landed a Code of the Sith (Running Single Leg High Knee) through a table in the corner of the ring to see this one through.
Winner: Andrew Raynes
Winner: Andrew Raynes
Kore Violet came out before her match and dismissed her opponent tonight, saying she couldn’t even remember her name. She said there was only one name worth remembering, other than her own, and that was Nessa Reckless. The crowd jeered at this but Kore flipped it around and said they wouldn’t be this negative when they finally meet one on one in the a Five Lakes ring, they were kidding themselves if they did not want to see this match up. No one in this company can take her title away from her, not even Nessa, she said, but Reckless at least poses a credible challenge, unlike everyone else that's so far seen tossed her way. Tonight she’ll prove once again that no one is in her league, as she feasts on the blood of.. whatever her name is, shrugging her shoulders, again pretending not to know Callie’s name.
UPPER MID CARD: FIRST BLOOD MATCH
Kore Violet v Callie Renton
Renton was eager to prove an upset here, and put the champion under some early pressure. It didn't take long for the foreign objects to appear, as they ducked and dived one another's attempts. Things took an interesting turn though when the thumb tacks came out, but again, some near misses prevented any bloodshed. However, as things wore on, Violet began to play possum, wearily rising to her feet as Renton grabbed ahold of her. Violet though reversed it quickly into a Russian Legsweep and from there into a Ground Octopus Hold. Renton cried out in pain but this match couldn't end by submission. Violet though had planned this throughout, and latched her teeth onto Renton! The blood quickly trickled down her as the bell rang and Kore was declared the winner. Renton was furious how she'd lost but Kore picked up her belt looking satisfied.
Winner: Kore Violet
There was an audible silence as the big screen came into life.
There was an audible silence as the big screen came into life.
“I remember me last day as a wrestler…” her unmistakable voice sounds against the backdrop of Madison’s glittering lights.
The camera pans until the freckled face of one Molly Hatchet comes into a profile view, her red hair whipping about in the strong, cool Wisconson breeze. From what can be seen, she sports a black leather jacket and a simple green t-shirt. Her expression is focused as she stares ahead introspectively.
“...twas tha’ day fear consumed me heart. Fear of bein’ hurt again, betrayed by those I put me trust in. I’d lost faith and couldnae’ longer do it. Painfully I tried fer a short time after, but it just got worse, pilin’ on tha’ hurt when I wasnae’ fully recovered in a spiritual sense. So one day, I walked out and disappeared fer tha’ better part of a year without a word.”
Her head lowers, shame crossing her features.
“I’d learn ta’ play guitar and join a metal band. Gradually I began ta’ feel happy again. On tha’ side I’d wet me feet in wrestlin’ again but as a referee fer a small outfit, helpin’ things stay fair while also guidin’ younger, newer talent with words of wisdom and advice. Meanwhile, friends like Arley and Griffin were goin’ onward while I sat behind, stuck in me own head, yeah.”
She looks back up with a soft little chuckle.
“Aye… Arley made a bet that before tha’ end of tha’ year that I’d be inspired by her ta’ get back into tha’ sport. I’ll be damned if she didnae’ end up bein’ right. Here it is, November and I’ve signed ink with Five Lakes.”
Molly turns her head to the camera with a grin and a twinkle in her eye.
“Won it by just a month and a piece, lass, but I thank ye’ fer pushin’ me back to tha’ fold.”
A few locks of her hair fly into her face, forcing her to brush them back a bit.
“Tha’ last place I wrestled crushed me spirit, I wonnae’ lie about that. I was gutted by betrayal and heartache, let down after let down, and was left hollow and empty, but time away has seen tha’ void left now filled with tha’ desire ta’ go again.”
The Ginger Ninja raises her arms out to either side of herself.
“So here I am, a wrestler once more… I donnae’ care if yer a Margolis or a Styles, a champion or a bridesmaid contender forever more, I’m out ta’ make me name mean somethin’ again and be tha’ legend I know I can be. I’ve got quite a climb ahead of me but as always I’m aimin’ high and lookin’ ta’ shoot even higher.”
She leans in towards the camera even cloer, her grin taking on a bit of a mischievous bent as her brow furrows slightly. She looks more like a hungry fox staring at prey.
“...and when tha’ dust of battles ta’ come settles and tha’ sun sets on me final fight, may tha’ best Ginger win…”
Her lips press together and she kisses the air with a loud with a mwah.
“...See ya’ soon me lovelies.”
With a cute little wave, she side-steps out of frame. We then cut back to our regularly scheduled program.

HEADLINER: NO DQ MATCH
Ryan Samuels v AJ Rivera
Two big lads, so very different, yet similar in many ways. Both brash and brimming with confidence, neither seemed phased by the equally powerful man that stood before them. As is often the case in these situations, they brought the best out of each other, knowing full well this would be a big push towards the Openweight Title picture in weeks to come. After fifteen minutes of beating one another in and around the ring with chairs, ladders, and primarily their fists, Samuels put Rivera through a table with his trademark Lariat to lay down a statement win against the former champion.
Winner: Ryan Samuels
Pre-match Chelsea LeClair came out to get a good view of this one. Firmly staking her claim as a contender to whomever wins, she watched on with interest, but wasn’t very complimentary of either woman.
MAIN EVENT: NORTH AMERICAN TITLE LADDER MATCH
Khloe Bell (c) v Tiffany Lynn-Page
Bell as always was not willing to let go of her title she had held for four months now. Multiple defences in that time had elevated her on the professional wrestling scene, and while she wasn’t always a popular figure amongst fight fans, there had never been a debate over her abilities inside the ring. Tonight looked to be another one of those nights; a stern test from the astute Tiff, a previous challenger that had once come up short. But as Bell over turned the advantage, she was in poll position to see this through. That was until a strange turn of events as La Fracasada came out to ringside. An ally, of sorts, for both competitors, Smith jumped up on the apron and pretended to cheer on Bell, as Page lay helpless in the centre of the ring. Carter on the other side distracted the Referee, as Smith laid one on the champion with a fistful of brass. Bell dropped to the ground, a bloody mess from the impact, as Carter released her hold of the Ref allowing Page to capitalise. Carter tossed a ladder inside the ring and Page began to ascend. Bell saw it out of the corner of her eye, but ducking down out of view Smith clutched onto her leg, preventing her from getting up in time as Page slowly climbed the ladder and unhooked the belt to become the first person to have held two different titles in 5LW history!
Winner: Tiffany Lynn-Page (New North American Champion)
After 4 months Bell’s reign had come to an end. A much maligned figure, there was a sense of injustice in the end as Page celebrated in the ring. LeClair was quick to chase off La Fracasada in the final moments, if not for Bell but out of respect for what should have been a fair fight. But it was too late to prevent the outcome, as Page raised the belt aloft on top of the ladder, before jumping down celebrate with her allies, her music blaring as the night came to a close.
