Monday 4th December
OPENING SEGMENT: PRE-RECORDED
She stands before a large hotel room window with a hand on her hip and shrouded in darkness, her form silhouetted by the evening city lights of Kingston, Ontario glittering in all its glory before her. The view from on high is always impressive as 5LW spared no expense in making her feel welcomed to the company. She’d had nothing but positive experiences with the roster backstage, finding more than a few familiar faces within. A possible new home? The camera slowly pans around her until we have a perfect profile view of Molly Hatchet, 5LW’s newest acquisition.
“Guess who’s come to dinner?” She says with a smile before turning to face the camera, a shoulder leaned against the glass.
We find her attired in a white tank top and tight fitting jeans, much of her unique tattoo ink on display, from the zombie hands holding the heart on her chest to the tank girl on her upper left arm and half sleeve of candies covering the lower half. Her long red hair frames her pale, freckled face, draped across her shoulders, while her dark hazel eyes glitter with mischief that is only accented by the little smirk that curls her pink lips.
“Aye, tonight, it’s me, Molly Hatchet, stepping up to the plate in a debut main event no less against the most dominant wrestler in all of Five Lakes, Kore Violet. She’s the first and currently only holder of the Undisputed Championship, the highest honor this company has with maybe two losses to her name.”
She chuckles softly and turns her gaze back out to the Kingston skyline.
“No pressure, yeah? Tis a test, to see if I can pull off what others would deem an impossible win or to gauge me dedication to the company should I lose.”
Her head lowers a bit as she looks to the floor briefly.
“I can understand that. Fair enough. Get the most out of me if I cannae’ cut it, but truth be told, there’s no shame in losing to a champion on my first outing, just as the boon would be quite huge if I beat her, fer what says championship material better than putting your highest honored competitor down?”
That smirk comes back, playful and mischievous and yet her gaze is a bit harder. Her eyes say it all…
“I’m up fer tha challenge. Whatever comes me way, I’ll fight each fight as if it were tha last. I’ll give it all and be tha’ wrestler that I know I can be, that others have said fer tha’ longest time that I cannae’ e’er be. They say I’m too small, that I’ll ne’er be a proper company’s champion and I’ve no business fightin’ champions, let alone even open events.”
She holds up three fingers, slightly bent with the pinky and thumb pressed together, sign language for six, which then becomes sixteen as she slightly waves the hand back and forth a couple of times.
“Sixteen years says otherwise. Sixteen years, I dinnae’ give up. Sixteen years, I fought, bled, and cried through triumph and tragedy, violence and addiction, love and loss. Sixteen years as of this moment, that I’ve been fightin, wrestlin, lovin, and livin, and while I’ve been down, I was ne’er out. If I cannae’ take tha’ heat, I wouldnae’ ‘ave taken tha’ job, would I?”
Molly presses her palm on the glass, pushing herself off the window.
“This legend has been sixteen years in tha’ making and I cannae’ imagine a better way ta’ kick things off in Five Lakes Wrestlin’ than by facin’ tha’ Undisputed Champion in a main event. Tha’ only way it gets better is if I beat tha’ brakes offa her and put tha’ world on notice that it’s a new day in wrestlin’ and Molly Hatchet’s time is here and now!”
The smirk becomes a wicked little smile.
“May tha’ best Ginger win…”
BACKSTAGE
Back to the live show there was a cold opening as we see Khloe Bell arriving at the arena. The woman is smiling from ear to ear, beaming really, but aside from her mood she looks awful. Her curly hair hasn’t seen a wash or a comb in more than several days and she looks as if she’s still wearing the same exact gear she wrestled in last time. In the woman’s arms is a bundle of tattered blankets and rags all wrapped around the Five Lakes TV Championship Title that she cradles and coos to like a child.
Clearly she is lost in her own reality and only emerges from it when one of Five Lakes Wrestling’s resident interviewers, who was staked outside the entrance approaches her. They were all set to deliver some hard hitting questions but upon the unkempt sight of the woman they can’t help but be taken back.
Interviewer: Khloe are … are you okay?
Khloe Bell: Okay? Okay? I’m great! Can’t you see!? I mean yes, it’s hard being a new mother but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. And I almost did you know?! I almost lost what meant the most to me but I learned! I finally learned and now I’ll never let anyone hurt you again. Nuh-uh sweet pea.
Interviewer: .. excuse me?
Khloe is looking down into her bundle, eyes adoring the title belt swaddled within. Her fingers trace over the faceplate of it in such awe and admiration she’s lost track of where she is again. The interviewer clears their throat and she’s forced back into reality, if only just a bit.
Khloe Bell: Huh? What? What do you want? Can’t you see that my baby is hungry?! I have to go!
The TV Title is clutched to her chest and Miss Bell shoots an angry, but distrusting look to the interviewer. They themselves are still quite perplexed and can only in hindsight think to do the thing they were sent here and hired for. Interview..
Interviewer: What about next week with Molly Hatchet? How do you plan on working together as a team against Nessa Reckless and—? Hello, Khloe?!
Too late. Miss Bell ducks her head and dashes inside, quickly finding a stairwell to disappear into like the living wretch she is..

Khloe Bell (c) v TATER
The night got underway with the weekly Television Title match. With no defence booked for the winner at the next event it meant that whoever leaves with the belt tonight would be walking into Toronto as champion. It was a big opportunity for TATER and one he looked determined to not let pass with Bell in all kinds of trouble throughout. The whole match was messy, and chaotic, both competitors desperate for success. The countdown clock was ticking away on the big screen though, as the ten minute time limit loomed ever close. TATER sensed his time was running out and tried to land some heavy right hands but this seemed to spark Bell more and more into life as she battled away like a Mother trying to protect her child from a dangerous predator. The crowd counted down the final ten seconds as the bell rang out and TATER punched the mat in frustration. A strong performance but not enough to take the belt from the manic, frivolous Bell, who cradled her championship, rocking back and forth in the corner of the ring.
Winner: Time Limit Draw (Khloe Bell retains)
BACKSTAGE
We see a small dressing room with a few chairs and a few lockers. One of the locker doors is open and suddenly it closes which reveals Chris Styles in his wrestling gear. He then walks over to a chair, sits down and just has a pure look of focus across his face. The dressing room door then opens and in walks his Sister Zoey Styles with a duffel bag that you can tell is pretty full. She drops the duffel bag at her brother's feet. He then looks down at it then up at her then he sees his sister point back at the duffel bag. So Chris looks down at it once again and this time reaches down unzipping the duffel bag. He then looks inside and shakes his head while now looking bag up at his Sister Zoey.
Chris Styles: Zoey, why did you bring me a duffel bag full of weapons?
Chris waited for a response from his sister but he did not get it at first as Zoey looked over at the camera crew that was in the dressing room as well.
Zoey Styles: You really want to talk about this with them here?
Chris Styles: I’m an open book Zoey so yes I want to talk about it with them here.
Zoey looked a little annoyed after what her brother said but then sat down in the other chair next to Chris.
Zoey Styles: Those are the best weapons I could find around this backstage area and tonight you should use them.
Chris Styles: What? No….
Zoey Styles: What do you mean no? You know Ryan Samuels is going to bring some tricks up his darned sleeve so why shouldn’t you? It’s NO DQ Chris.
Chris Styles: I know exactly who and what Ryan Samuels is. And, exactly what I am walking into out in that ring tonight Zoey. So again no I am not bringing any of those weapons with me. Think of it like a code, or honor or whatever you wish to call it but I want to face Ryan Samuels man to man in the middle of that ring. Now if he breaks out a weapon I will obviously defend myself but I won’t be bringing this type of stuff to the ring.
Zoey Styles: Chris he thinks you are a joke… He thinks you don’t even belong in a match with him. He is so damned over confident and I think it’s because he has some type of game plan.
Chris reached down, zipping the duffel bag shut and kicking it off to the side. He then stood up, looked at his sister and then looked directly at the camera crew.
Chris Styles: Enough Zoey… Tonight “The Midwest Nightmare” Ryan Samuels steps into the ring with Wrestlings Hulk and I am going to SMASH HIM! He doesn’t respect me, he doesn’t think I belong in the main event like I was last week… Hell he doesn’t even think I belong in that ring. And, well tonight I am going to prove him wrong. He is one of those miserable human beings and I get it when I was on substances I had moments of being a miserable human being… But, I am not that person anymore and I have to constantly prove myself out there in that ring for myself and for the fans. Tonight will be no different… Ryan Samuels tonight I’m coming to that ring and win or lose you will know by the end of it that Chris Styles belongs in this company, belongs in this business and most of all can be a MAIN EVENT LEVEL STAR!
After saying all of that you could almost swear fire came out of his eyes as he kicked his chair across the room and stormed out of the dressing room seeming rather serious and intense. The camera then caught Zoey leaning back in her chair with a little smile.
Zoey Styles: That got him fired up heh.

LOW CARD: TAG TEAM MATCH
The Rogues Gallery v La Fracasada
A fine debut for The Rogues Gallery here who made light and quick work of their opponents with a dominant display. The win was sealed inside the five minute mark following a neat combination of a Backpack Stunner from Silvera and Single Leg Dropkick by Kasiano. Expectations were high and they duly delivered, sending a clear message to the rest of the division.

Andrew Garrison was backstage with Emma Harrington. He said it was good to FINALLY be back in singles competition, and even though his team won last time out, he was glad to not be relying on anyone. Emma asked if he had watched TATER's Television Title match earlier. Garrison said he didn't usually pay attention to other people's matches, but made an exception to see TATER embarrass himself. He proved himself to be a joke before, and now he had proved it further. He was now going to embarrass Jack McGrath in much the same way, and make him regret signing for Five Lakes Wrestling.
LOW CARD: SINGLES MATCH
Jack McGrath v Andrew Garrison
Garrison was ready for this one, itching get back into singles action again after a couple of recent tag bouts. He paced around the ring as the debuting McGrath entered the ring with a cold stare and emotionless expression. Garrison barely waited for the bell, launching himself at the newcomer but McGrath was ready for him as the two men went at it. Garrison found himself in a strong position at one stage, with McGrath about to receive The G Bomb (Razors Edge). But he wriggled free and took full advantage of Garrison's surprise to hit his own signature finisher, Things Fall Apart (Vertical Drop Brainbuster). He made the pin and looked down his fallen opponent with disdain, before glancing around the arena at the jeers, smiling, as his music played.
Winner: Jack McGrath
Winner: Jack McGrath
POST-MATCH
After the match Garrison was still in the ring looking frustrated with himself. He was about to exit when TATER's music hit. He came out, mic in hand, and cut his music early. There was something to get off his chest, and the crowd were excited to hear it. TATER wasn’t happy with Garrison's comments, constantly berating him as a 'joke wrestler'. It was time to get serious. Garrison hadn't covered himself in glory tonight by losing, but he was willing to give him a chance to prove how good he really thinks he is. TATER then challenged him to a match at LIVE! From Toronto. No rules, no disqualifications. Garrison said he had hoped to be facing more serious opposition at the end of year supershow, but this would be more fun, proving to everyone once and for all what a laughing stock TATER really was.
LOWER MID CARD: SINGLES MATCH
Silas Romero v Journeyman Phillips
Another debut here as Silas Romero came out to a fairly positive reception. Not everyone was a fan but most were, at the very least, excited to see him in a Five Lakes ring. There was no love for his opponent though, as Journeyman Phillips came out with his daughters in tow. Romero wasn’t phased by the numbers before him, and put the veteran through hell in the opening stages. Phillips though was a wily old fox, and turned things back in his favour with some intelligent mat work. From there on out it was a good back and forth, but after a couple of two counts Romero finished things with a GKFO (Ripcord Rolling Elbow).
Winner: Silas Romero
Winner: Silas Romero
Romero took to the mic after his win. He put the rest of the roster on notice, and declared himself the biggest acquisition the company had seen. He knew this because of all the wrestler's that signed contracts last week, he was the one highest up the card. He paid dues to Phillips, a man of experience and good technical ability, but if that was the calibre he would be facing each week it would not take him long to get to the top. Jack McGrath's music then hit the speakers. He came out to the top of the ramp, and asked him how he came to the conclusion he was such a big star just for beating an old washed up journeyman. Before Silas could respond Frank James came out to a huge cheer. He praised them both for their performances tonight, and said he liked the bravado. He said he brought them both to this company personally and predicted great things for them. He also expected great things of his other newest signings, The Rogues Gallery, so next week it would be good to see them all inside of the same ring. Silas Romero and Jack McGrath will team up to face The Rogues Gallery at LIVE! From Hamilton.

Duke Andrews & Tiffany Lynn Page v The NOVA Empire
Yet ANOTHER debut here, competitively at least, as newly signed Duke Andrew’s accompanied North American champion Page to the ring. The Tag champions soon followed to a big reception, after a few weeks away. Their maiden defence on the cards in a few weeks time, they were every bit as slick as their last outing, as they looked to spoil the party for Page and Andrews. Page always had a trick up her sleeve though and with Ozborne’s back turned yanked hard on her hair from the ring apron, as she fell to the floor. She jumped to her feet and launched a retaliated attack, but Page ducked down onto the outside of the ring just in time. It was enough to let Andrews back in, and he never allowed them a way back from there. Page snuck around the to the other side of the ring pulled on the legs of Nova who had been desperately reaching for a fresh tag but found himself face first into the edge of the canvas, helpless to see it coming to prevent Duke sealing the win for his team.

BACKSTAGE
Duke Andrews and Tiffany Lynn Page were on hand with Emma Harrington, gloating about their win. They had just beaten the tag team champions. There was no stopping them. If they wanted those titles they would have them, but Smith and Carter had been loyal and she would rather see them reap the rewards at some point and take the belts away from NOVA Empire. Duke came on the mic and voiced the same message. He demanded respect from the Canadian crowd next week towards THEIR North American, but this only caused further ire from the audience. He said it was pathetic that people cheer for drug addicts like Chelsea LeClair, and nobodies like Callie Renton - 'even her own Mother didn’t love her', he said. In time the 5LW fans would truly appreciate what they have seen tonight. The beginning of an era.
MID CARD: NO DQ MATCH
Ryan Samuels v Chris Styles
Despite the back and forth and heated words online, Styles still offered Samuels his hand before the match. Samuels though laughed him off as Styles shrugged his shoulders and turned to go back to his corner. Samuels attacked him from behind and the Ref signalled for the bell. Samuels took great pleasure in beating him in and around the ring as it spilled onto the outside. Styles took a chair shot but managed to peg things back as Samuels reached for his bull rope. Some steel steps caught Samuels in the face, but he turned things back in his favour by throwing beer in Styles face. He went for the bull rope again but Styles moved out the way and it caught a child in the face. Styles suggested they stop to make sure he was ok but Samuels didn’t care, telling the boy to suck it up and get out his way so he could fight some more. He tossed Styles into the ring and hit him with a big boot. He swung his lasso around in the air with glee, ready to finish this off when a figure emerged at the top of the entrance ramp. Samuels looked up to see El Giaganre Hawaiano. He stopped in his tracks and yelled up to him, 'Get your fat masked ass down here so I can have a look at you!' But the masked colossus didn't respond. Styles was paying no attention to anything other than the job at hand however and unwittingly took advantage of a distracted Samuels to land a chair shot to the back of his head. He followed it up with a STYLES CRUSH (Closeline from hell), and dropped to the make the pin. The crowd went wild as Styles then celebrated with the fans, as the looming masked figure disappeared from whence it came.

IN THE RING [MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENTS]
Frank James came out to greet the fans. He had promised some announcements for Toronto, and didn't disappoint. He then declared that Tiffany Lynn Page would defend her North American Title against Chelsea LeClair! There would also be a six-wrestler tag team elimination match, featuring Tinsley Nolan, Leati Salavea and Mateo Salavea on one team, against Journeyman Phillips, Betty Phillips and Juno Phillips on the other. Both of these matches had been a long time in the making, and everyone was excited to finally see them take place.
He also announced the opponents for Griffin Hawkins' Openweight Championship, having already announced online there would be four challengers. The four names were revealed one by one to varying reactions.. Ryan Samuels.. Andrew Raynes.. and former champion, AJ Rivera!
What's more he was going to give four more men an opportunity to fight for that title, when Ace Sky, Travis Levitt, Chris Styles and inaugural champion Jay Sinclair compete in an Openweight Title number one contenders match.
He finished with one final huge announcement. After Toronto they would be taking a short break before heading to New York for January. New York would also see the introduction of a brand new singles title; the Brass Knuckles Championship.. a hardcore title where nothing is off limits. The fans enjoyed this, as the commentators speculated who they'd want to see in this division.
HEADLINER: SINGLES MATCH
Callie Renton v Nessa Reckless
Callie Renton has been hotly tipped to be a breakout star in 2024, so facing the no. 1 contender to the Undisputed Title was always going to be a good barometer of her abilities. Reckless didn’t seem too interested in this fight pre-match, yawning and checking her nails during her opponents entrance but livened up when the bell rang, violently throwing Renton around the ring to assert her dominance. Renton though was quick and tough to pin down and pulled things back with a flying crossbody. From there this looked like it had all the makings of an upset, as Renton dominated her opponent, but it wasn't to be, as Nessa pulled a Jumping Cutter from nowhere. It wasn't enough to keep Renton down though, as Nessa picked her up and delivered a second, this time afflicting enough punishment to see this through. Reckless had pulled off the win and motioned the belt around her waist. It was time for a new era, she told the camera. 'The Reckless Era'.
Winner: Nessa Reckless
RINGSIDE
Pre-match Khloe Bell came out to get a closer view of her partner for next week, and was joined at the commentary table by a returning Nessa Reckless, herself looking for a front row seat for her rival, Kore Violet. Nessa, despite just wrestling looked surprisingly fresher than the dishevelled Bell, who still held her title like a child, curious looks coming from every angle. With these four women in tag team action next week, it made for an interesting affair at ringside. Hatchet, still a relative newcomer in 5LW, was given arguably the biggest reception of the night, as she paced back and forth around the ring ahead of this big opportunity. Her opponent, and Undisputed Champion, made her usual confident entrance, slowing down her walk, particularly around the announcers table.

MAIN EVENT: 2 OUT OF 3 FALLS
NON-TITLE MATCH
Molly Hatchet v Kore Violet
When the match got underway things went very much Violet's way. Hatchet held on and there were brief spells in which she put the champ in trouble but a slingblade form the second turnbuckle put her 1-0 in front, and on course for a dominant victory. She quickly went for a second pin but Hatchet kicked out and continued to take more punishment before rousing herself to a comeback. With the crowd on her side she valiantly pulled this back with her Goodnight Gracie (Half-Nelson Rear Naked Choke). Violet, sensing she needed to keep something in the tank, submitted to make it 1-1. She tried to complain that it was not 'technically a fall' and shouldn't count, but it was within the rules and her pleas fell on deaf ears as the deciding bout got underway. Hatchet smelt blood and took advantage of the wounded Violet, attempting The Molly Bomber (Diving Cannonball Swanton Bomb) after a Hatchet Bomb (Springboard Superwoman Punch) left Kore laying in the centre of the canvas. But she mustered the energy to shift side wards, and out of harms way. Crawling to her feet, she preyed on the injured Hatchet like a wounded animal and latched on the infamous Starfire (Russian Legsweep to Ground Octopus Hold). Hatchet held on for as long as possible but ultimately could give no more, tapping out as the bell rang out. Kore stood in the centre of the ring, and pointed to her belt, insisting the Referee get it for her like a servant to it's master. She raised it aloft, after a fine victory, proving without a doubt that she was still the woman to beat. Bell shook her head in disappointment. Whether she was rooting for her future partner, or saddened that Molly had not met her expectations was unclear. Nessa, meanwhile, stood and clapped, somewhat theatrically, in an attempt to win the early mind games against Bell next week, graciously praising 'the stronger team'. She said it will be fitting to share a ring with Kore as winners together one final time before she takes her title. Kore though did not look her way this time, slinging the belt over her back, exiting the ring and departing into the night.
