LIVE! From Toronto: Night One
Wednesday 20th December
IN THE RING
The big night got underway with a greeting from General Manager Frank James. The Toronto crowd were naturally pleased to see him and he was grateful for their overwhelming support tonight. He praised all the Canadian fans across the past few weeks, and promised to bring the show back to the north of the border in the not too distant future. However, in the new year the show would be back on the road and the bus would be rolling into New York. There would be various stop offs throughout the state of New York, including one show in each of the five boroughs! He promised a stacked card at each event, including not least the crowning of the first ever Five Lakes Wrestling Brass Knuckles Champion. He had no doubt that some of those matches would be amongst the bloodiest and best we have ever seen in Five Lakes Wrestling, which was a nice segway into the first award of the night. Frank James was proud to announce that the winner of the 2023 Match of the Year was Ryan Samuels versus Kanaka Mauna in their infamous Loser Must Retire Casket Match, back in October. Ryan Samuel's music then hit and he came out to accept the plaque. He dedicated it to Mauna’s 'fat lazy ass', because without him he wouldn’t be here today receiving this award. Quite literally 'because he fucking lost and had to retire, the big oaf! Good riddance.' He finished by saying this will take pride of place in his home to remember the great day he retired that big freak.
MATCH OF THE YEAR 2023
RYAN SAMUELS v KANAKA MAUNA - LOSER MUST RETIRE CASKET MATCH
SINGLES MATCH
Iida Matsuda v Mystery Opponent
Iida Matsuda came out and waited curiously for her opponent. Suddenly 'Shake It Off' by Taylor Swift hit the speakers and none other than Marisol Vilaro came out onto the entrance ramp, mic in hand. There was a mixed reaction from the crowd, some clearly excited at the prospect of seeing her in a 5LW ring, while others were less accommodating. Marisol said she needed no introduction but would do so anyway, declaring herself as an early present to the fans for the 'Vilarodays', her twist on the holidays. She said her brand was bigger than anything 5LW had to offer, and so she had offered her services as a wrestler, fitness guru and businesswoman to grow their brand with her presence. Not only that, she wanted to expand her own enterprise and thought that looking around the crowd, and large number of people that were out of shape, the great lakes region would benefit from her too. Furthermore, she had handpicked Matsuda as her first opponent because it would help her message reach international markets in Asia, when she beats one of their so called 'greatest exports'. With that she entered the ring and the match got underway. Matsuda wasn't impressed by Vilaro's comments and tried to put this one to bed early with her usual fast paced and attractive style of wrestling, making life difficult for the newcomer. But Vilaro was no amateur and weathered an early storm to turn things around. Once on top it was all one way traffic and she wrapped it up with her Crunch Time (Natural Selection) finisher. A fine debut and intriguing start to the show.
Winner: Marisol Vilaro
IN THE RING
Frank James was out once more to present the next award of Future Undisputed Champion. The winner was.. Alejandro Rivera! The big man came out to a fairly volatile reception, despite the fact, presumably, many of these fans had actually voted for him. He was pretty nonchalant about the whole thing, saying he knew someday the top title would come his way, he didn't need to preach to the converted. He knew it, the fans knew it, the wrestlers in the back knew it. There were people he wanted to fight along the way, people whose skulls he wanted to crush and whose faces he wanted to punch. But 2024 would be the making of him. Big things were coming for Big Papi, whether the crowd liked it or not.
FUTURE UNDISPUTED CHAMPION AWARD
ALEJANDRO RIVERA
SINGLES MATCH
Duke Andrews v Callie Renton
Renton was ready and raring to go. Her Mother, the legendary Ambika Renton, was seen in the crowd to see her promising young daughter in action. Duke Andrews came out to a huge jeer. He stopped along the way and pointed at Ambika, warning her of the pain he was about to inflict on her daughter, before slapping her in the face. This got Callie riled up and she dived out the ring to get this fight underway ahead of schedule. Duke was ready for her though, and they brawled around the ring until he managed to overpower her. Once on top he threw her back in the ring and took great pleasure asserting his dominance and physicality. Renton kept coming back though, reversing power moves cleverly to reclaim the advantage, but it never lasted long, as the veteran pulled it back in his favour. But Renton would never stay down, kicking out each and every time, much to his surprise. Eventually he decided enough was enough, and brought out the big guns. He set her up for The Andrews Effect (One Winged Angel) but Renton reversed it into an Asai DDT! She climbed the turnbuckle and landed The Heiress (Top Rope Corkscrew Stunner) before making the pin. The crowd were on their feet for the young Renton, who had pulled off not only a big moral victory, but a huge upset against the experienced and imposing Andrews. The commentators were not short of praise for what was unquestionably a huge statement of what she can go on to achieve in 2024. Andrews meanwhile looked on furious at the celebrations, slightly bewildered at how quickly things had unravelled. Not the result he would have wanted, but one he would have to accept, as he looks ahead to proving what everyone knows he's truly capable of in the new year.
Winner: Callie Renton
BACKSTAGE
Backstage Emma Harrington was standing by with TATER, who was warmly received as the recipient of the Rising Star Award. TATER beamed with pride, he couldn’t believe he was receiving it and thanked everyone who voted. He mentioned the other nominees in Iida Matsuda, Callie Renton, and Tinsley Nolan, all of whom are proving to be great wrestlers themselves. 2023 had been a good year for him, he had picked up some good wins and met a nice little lady. He said tonight was about settling a score with Andrew Garrison, and ending the year on a high, but then he was firmly focused on making 2024 the Year of the TATER!

“Tis a huge honor they bestow upon me this night…”
We cut to a concrete wall, close up on the 5LW TV Championship Challenger, The Ginger Ninja herself, Molly Hatchet leaning against it with her arms crossed over her chest. She’s geared up, wearing her black and green Hatchet Clan hooded leather vest, matching crop top and pants, black tape on her hands and wrists, blue, green, white, and black tassels tied around her tattooed biceps, and proudly the freckles on and the vibrant ginger red hair framing her face. She has a smile that beams with pride and yet there’s a bit of a nervousness and anxious excitement to her.
“Here I am, only a couple events in and I’ve a title match against Khloe Bell for the TV Championship here, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I’m so excited. I dinnae’ enter this expectin’ ta’ have anythin’ handed to me or opportunities like this fallin’ right into me lap. Ta even have this moment with someone so talented is just unexpected in general. Khloe’s been on a pretty good roll I’d say, havin’ been here since day one holding it down and here I come, fresh off tha’ bus lookin’ ta’ claim her gold.”
Molly taps a finger to her pink freckled lip in a brief moment of thought.
“Aye, tis an honor ta’ have this and then, should I win it, go and face Roni Tyler on tha’ next night. A bit beastly that one, given her clear Japanese strong style influence and knowin’ my way ‘round Canadian native wrestlers, it wonnae’ be easy. Wrestlin’s part of tha’ culture in tha’ best way here in Canada. Always loved comin’ here and always got some of me best challenges from wrestlers who were born and raised in this country.”
She gives a little nod of her head in approval.
“Been up close and personal with tha’ champ in tha’ ring as a partner and won her friendship early I did. She’s been true ta me and I’ve been nothin’ but tha’ same in return. When this match was announced, I told her from tha’ start that it would ne’er be personal between us. We’re two professionals havin’ a match and after, nothin changes that. She has me promise and should I take tha’ baby from her, well then, I guess I’ll have ta’ prove I’m a good caretaker.”
The Scotswoman pops a short quick, cheeky little grin.
“Which I’d be on ta’ proving immediately thereafter with Big Roni. I really have ta’ be careful tonight and pace meself accordingly because if I blow it all on Khloe, then what’ll I have left in tha’ tank fer tha’ big rookie with even bigger talent? I’ve faced people bigger and stronger than me many times in me career and often that involves me flexin’ tha’ brain more and gettin’ more fleet of foot. Tis a big challenge before me, can I do it and keep it in two back ta’ back nights?”
She briefly looks down at her hand, rubbing her thumb against two fingers, a flash of concern on her face.
“That’s up ta me ta answer. Meanwhile, they’ve a question to answer in return…”
Another grin pops on her face, this one more cheshire like with a devilish look in her eye.
“...Can either of you stop me?”
That grin never drops.
“Because I’ve been at the game a long time. I'm comin’ back from a rough patch, but I found I can still go and go well in that ring. I’m as fast as I’ve always been, hit as hard as ever, and can work a government mule of a wrestler ta’ death. I’ve worked in all corners of tha’ world with only a few places left that I’ve yet ta’ wrestle in these thirteen years as of this event, taking pieces as I went, whether it be tha’ hard hitting styles of Joshi Puroresu, ta’ UK’s no bullshit hard hits and harder suplexes, ta’ tha’ ways of Mexico’s Lucha Libre, all tha’ way to Canada’s mat and chain wrestling… throw in some Brazillian Jiu Jitsu and I’d say tha’ challenge is definitely steep, dear hearts.”
Finally she stops smiling, stepping forward with a serious, almost grave expression.
“Pray tha’ rust is stronger than me will, because otherwise, tha’ best Ginger will win it and walk tha’ gold all tha’ way to her home ta’ show off to her love tha’ prize trophy it is, yeah?”
She kisses her palm and blows it towards the camera, then smirks while walking away from the camera.
NO HOLDS BARRED MATCH
Tater v Andrew Garrison
These two have been back and forth for some weeks, and were finally getting the chance to face each other one on one and put their rivalry to bed, at least for the time being. Both men would be looking to break out from the pack, so to speak, in 2024 and cement themselves in the various title pictures, and tonight offered a huge step forwards for whoever came out on top. TATER started brightly and proved why he was the recipient of his award, but Garrison was a powerful man and tough to pin down. Even when TATER was on top he never really looked out of it, his power and striking abilities getting the better of his popular opponent. A clothesline from hell was enough to turn this one on its head though, and as TATER rose to his feet, visibly dazed he was lifted into the air and powered down into the middle of the canvas with The G Bomb! Garrison made the cover, and stared down at his fallen enemy for a few moments after, before leaving the ring with a sinister look on his face.
Winner: Andrew Garrison
IN THE RING
Frank James came out once more to present another award. This time it was the Tag Team of the Year. He said this was essentially a two horse race, and the fans could barely separate themselves between the inaugural and reigning champions. However, the NOVA Empire had just edged it and he welcomed them out the ring. Jessi and Otto entered, their titles proudly draped over their respective shoulders. Jessi was handed a mic and she reflected on their journey as a team, and how they’d come to be the stand out team for 2023 in probably all of professional wrestling, perhaps. They had achieved a lot in wrestling individually, and continued to do so, but this was a new adventure and challenge and one they were enjoying. Otto said they were excited to take on the newest challengers in Illuminati Projekt and welcomes whoever else came their way in 2024, because they weren't letting go of these titles for a very long time.

TELEVISION TITLE MATCH
Khloe Bell (c) v Molly Hatchet
Molly Hatchet has been a breath of fresh air since landing in Five Lakes Wrestling, mixing it up with the great and good in her first few weeks here. Her and Bell pulled off an impressive win together against the two 'leading ladies' last time out, but now they found themselves against one another, for Bell's Television Title. Bell's reign as North American champion was nothing short of impressive, and she quickly bounced back from the disappointment of her controversial defeat to capture this title. It was unclear quite how she would cope without a title to her name, appearing fragile to say the least in the short period that she was without a belt, but with Hatchet standing in her way of retaining it tonight, there was every possibility that day could arrive. Bell though, often one to manipulate things in her favour, respected Hatchet enough to give her the fight she craved. A nomination for two fights of the year, this one was not far off her previous encounters, as they let go of it all and brawled around the ring. Every time one was on top the other immediately responded with an equally impressive comeback, and so it continued back and forth and back and forth, the crowd loving every minute of this encounter. Sadly though, for Hatchet especially, time was of the essence, as all Television Title matches are confined to the ten minute time limit. The clock, and the fans, began to count down, as Hatchet latched on the The Hurt Locker (Omoplata). Bell was in agony, ready to throw in the towel. 5.. 4.. 3.. her hand went up and she clenched her fist.. 2.. 1.. she opened up the palm to quit. She could take no more.. 0! The bell rang out, it was over, as Bell frantically tapped the mat in surrender but she had hung on just in time. Hatchet released the hold and asked the Ref if she got it in time but it wasn't to be, several seconds too late. She held her head in her hands, deflated, ruing a missed opportunity, but was given a standing ovation from the crowd as she headed to the back.
Winner: Time Limit Draw (Khloe Bell retains the Television Title)
BACKSTAGE
We go to the back where Griffin Hawkins sits, the Openweight Title resting on his lap. He begins to speak to the camera.
Griffin Hawkins: 2023 was...pretty good to me. Did a lot of things...won a lot of titles including this one. I often wonder what 2024 will bring. To those who don't know I made a promise that in 2024...I would become World Champion once again, whether it be in this company or the others I am in. But that's next year. According to my calendar it's still 2023...and I have a lot of loose ends to tie up before I head home for the Holidays and ring in the new year with my family. One of them involves this fine piece of hardware that rests on my lap. In my first ever defense...it won't be an easy one. As I am not facing one contender..but three hungry contenders, all who can easily pry this belt from my iron grip. Now normally I'd sit here and talk about my opponents and who they are and what they represent. But I think I'm gonna do something a little different tonight...
He rises up, carrying the belt over his shoulder. He goes over to the white board in the back of the locker room and writes "Seven Deadly Sins."
Griffin Hawkins: The Seven Deadly Sins...by now everyone knows them. Some heard about them in Sunday School...Church...or they watched that movie with Brad Pitt nad Morgan Freeman. But in case you don't know...here are the seven deadly sins. Pride, Envy, Gluottny, Lust, Sloth, Greed and Wrath. The first sin we're gonna cover is Greed. Greed is the one thing that drives us all. These days people want everything, money, power recognition. These three want it all more than anything..and to get that, they have to win this. One who wants everything back would be the former champion...Alejandro Rivera...
He draws his name under the seven deadly sins
Griffin Hawkins: As of late...Mr.Rivera has had more than a mouthful to say about me. Why? Because I was the one who took his title away from him..and since then he has held a grudge against me. Rivera, your girlfriend tells you what you want to hear. Right now, I'm going to tell you what you NEED to hear. This is about how you need this to end. You need to beat me for this title, because more than anything you are desperate to get everything back. When I got in the ring with you the first time, I beat you. You probably thought after that that it was a fluke..but then I came back and I did it again and this time, I walked out with the Openweight Title. You can try and downplay it all you want, but the fact remains that I beat you one on one and took this from you..and you can't stand it. You shouldn't be mad at me Rivera, you should be mad at yourself. And now you need to beat me for this, because a third straight loss to me will break you. Hell..by the looks of things it's already got you on the edge. Anyone who comes this hard at someone obviously has some deep seated issues that they don't want to see daylight. Which sits you under...
He draws a line from his name to Envy.
Griffin Hawkins: Envy...one of the most causes of unhappiness. The more you spoke about me on your four page twitter tantrum...I can see the envy dripping from each word. It wasn't enough that I won the title from you, but it was the fact that I replaced you in the spotlight while you got all pouty like a child after your loss, even making threats of going for the Undisputed Title afterwards..how'd that go by the way? You talk over and over again how I can't "hang" with you, how I don't belong in 5 Lakes...let me ask you, are you sure you're not projecting yourself and your own insecurities onto me? You seem like the type of person who blames the whole world for his problems when you can't even look in the mirror and blame yourself. This title right here proves I can hang with anybody..including you. See, I didn't "steal" this title from you like you keep telling everyone..I kicked your ass and I took it from you. 1..2..3 in the center of the ring. I don't need an army to beat you..I sure as fuck didn't need one to beat you at Fright Night. It's you who needs to beat me. You want to take your crown back?..come and get it Papi.
He goes to the other side of the board.
Griffin Hawkins: Quite possibly one of the worst sins on the list...Pride. The Ancient Greeks call it Hubris. It has led to people doing many many crimes. Their haughtiness has often led to their downfall. Who am I speaking of? None other than Andrew Raynes. His prideful nature has gotten him many enemies from not just the 5 Lakes locker room, but other companies as well. Myself, Raynes and Samuel were in a triple threat match...but the problem is he allowed his win to go to his head. He believed just because he won in a triple threat match that it's a forgone conclusion that he's gonna be the next Openweight Champion. Andrew...how long have you been doing this, 15 years?...you'd think by now that you'd learn to be humble. But instead it's done nothing but made you entitled. You've been in this business more than long enough to know that there is no such thing as a sure thing. You go around telling everyone who'll listen that you're going to win before the match even takes place. You're a vet just like me, I'm someone who's been doing this as long as you have if not longer. You should know by now that bragging only results in a huge blow to your ego if you lose. You made the same promises of slaying a certain vampire...you remember what happened right? ...you lost. And I know what you're going to say..."but Griff, you lost to her as well." The difference between you and me is that I didn't go around in the back and on social media telling anyone who'd listen that I was going to beat the Undisputed Champion in the ring as easily as possible. Which leads to the next sin..
He draws a line from his name to Sloth.
Griffin Hawkins: Sloth...laziness. Omitting responsibility. It seems as if you would rather coast on what you've done in the last 15 years. Telling anyone who'd listen that you've been doing this forever and that you should be treated with respect. Me..I'm humble. I know that I gotta keep myself grounded no matter what I accomplish. You on the other hand are doing exactly what you did before...bragging, grandstanding, believing it's a given that you're going to walk out as a champion. And just like before after you got beat, you're going to throw a tantrum and blame everyone for your defeat. Your childish behavior makes me wonder if you're trying to convince yourself that you're going to be the next champion. But here's a reality check Andy boy..its not going to be that easy. What you and Rivera and Samuels need to realize is Griffin Hawkins is a doormat for nobody. If you really are sure you're gonna leave TO with the gold, then stop talking about what you're going to do, and actually do it. Or would you rather talk out of your ass like usual? You can do your talking on social media....while I do my talking in the ring.
He readjusts the title.
Griffin Hawkins: And now we go to one of the disgusting sins on this list..Gluttony....which brings us to...
He writes down the name Ryan Samuels.
Griffin Hawkins: The Midwest Nightmare...the man who has been making so much noise as of late. Why is he a glutton? I'll tell you why. He wants everything and doesn't care how he gets it. He believes just because he's this big angry Kansas native that everyone is gonna punk out to him. But it's not just that. He is a glutton for much more...he wants to become Openweight Champion..yet at the same time he's obsessed with a certain giant who's been in his head rent free...and just recently he made mentions of wanting a chance for the newly created Brass Knuckles Title. I mean dude..you're putting eggs in 15 different Easter baskets and you haven't even filled one yet. Your bottomless appetite for success and petty grudges are going to be your undoing...which leads to this other sin that you suffer...
He traces it to the word "Lust"
Griffin Hawkins: ...Lust. A notorious sin indeed. But this isn't a vice for sex. You are lusting after the throne to be at the top and you don't care who you run over to get there. Hell I'll give you your due Sammy...you managed to get the win in our match. I say bravo. You finally did something right for yourself for once. But can you do it again? It seems since our first match together, you've been salty towards me. Why? Because I didn't back down from you? Because I refused to quake in fear of the big bad roughneck cowboy? Or is it because after all that big talk that came from you about how you were going to break me..you couldn't get the job done? Whatever it is, I'm coming to even the score. It is possible that I'll somehow walk out as champion..but the one thing I can't do is make you uglier than you are now. So you can keep that sour puss look on your face..because this time, I'm gonna be the one who knocks you on your ass.
He draws one last sin..Wrath.
Griffin Hawkins: I saved the most vengeful one of all...Wrath. And this one falls onto me. Because for the last few weeks I've been surrounded by opponents who think that beating me is going to be some kind of cakewalk. Like they are just going to beat me 1 2 3 as if it were another day at the office. I should be angry...but I'm not. If any of these men knew me at all, they'd know the last thing you want to do is overlook me. This is no longer a tag match..it's a four way dance. Every man for himself. And I will see to it that they all feel my wrath. Toronto is the place where everyone will witness a main event that they will never forget. Because before this night is over, somebody's gonna get rocked!
He walks off as we go to a break.
HEADLINER: TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH
Illuminati PROJEKT v The NOVA Empire (c)
Gwen and Monty have taken Five Lakes Wrestling by storm since their arrival here, beating everyone in their path to rightfully earn their shot at the Tag Team Championship. Jessi and Otto, in their maiden defence, were looking to cap off an impressive year, collectively and individually. Unsurprisingly this was a huge test for the champions, as the Margolis' made regular tags to keep on top of things throughout the early exchanges. Otto was resilient though and hung in there long enough to find his opportunity, and swung things back in their favour. Once on top they showed everyone just why they were in possession of the titles, and how much work they'd put in to their craft as a unit in recent months. Illuminati PROJEKT themselves were not a team that went down easily, and regained the advantage with a neat tag out of sight from Monty to Gwen. It looked all set to see the belts change hands when the challengers hit their signature TRUTH IS OUT THERE; an uppercut to the back of the head from Monty, swiftly followed by swinging neckbreaker from Gwen, but no sooner had this happened they were greeted by a couple of unwelcome guests, as the Rogues Gallery entered the ring via the crowd. Without hesitation they attacked everyone in the ring, unexpectedly. With no time to react there was little opportunity to fight back and the Rogues didn't hold back in dishing out the punishment either. The bell frantically rang to signify the end of the match but it didn't put them off, as they delivered an Allegory for Vegetarianism; double Hip Toss Reversed into tandem Knee Strikes to the head of Gwen, before their wonderfully named Eat Shit & Die; an Alabama Slam into the corner on Nova by Kasiano followed by a Running Meteora from Silvera. They looked around the ring at the wounded bodies and surveyed their 'work', proud of what they achieved. A clear message to anyone standing between them and the Tag Team Titles.
Winner: No Contest (The NOVA Empire retain the Tag Team Champions)
IN THE RING
Frank James was back in the ring to welcome hometown hero, and the recipient of Five Lake Wrestling's Fan Favourite of the Year 2023, Griffin Hawkins. The Jukebox Hero came out to an overwhelming reception, as the crowd chanted his name for what seemed like an eternity. He shook James' hand and was handed a mic, as the chants died down to hear what he had to say. He hyped them up a bit, but was ultimately humbled and extremely proud to be recognised by the fans, particularly in his hometown state where with all began. Everything he does is for the fans. He tries to be a shining example and put on a great show, as they truly deserve. Tonight he’ll use this to spur him on and retain his title, he said, and raised it in the air as the fans chanted his name once more. He followed up with a live guitar solo which went down a treat, and hyped everyone even more for the Main Event but it was abruptly cut short by Rivera and Samuels, who came out and attacked him two on one, smashing his guitar to pieces in the process. Andrew Raynes, who had no side in this fight, and eyes only on the prize immediately followed and began cleaning house as the bell rang for the first of our Main Events.
MAIN EVENT: FATAL FOUR WAY
OPENWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Griffin Hawkins (c) v Ryan Samuels v AJ Rivera v Andrew Raynes
With the match already underway this was anyone's game, with no outright favourite as these equally capable men began punishing one another left, right and centre. Raynes, Samuels and Rivera had each declared their interest in the recent weeks and months for this belt, sharing the ring with one another throughout the road to Toronto. But only one of them could prevail, and with one pinfall or submission to secure it they would have to be alert to everything around them at all times. Samuels and Rivera, allies when it needed to be, were happy to work in tandem and wear down their opponents before slugging it out thereafter. But Raynes especially was never down for long, always coming back for more and giving at least as much as he got each time. Hawkins' energy was lifting the crowd, as they cheered on their boy, but this was always going to be a war of attrition, with neither man securing anything more than a one-count in the early exchanges. Before long it spilled back onto the outside and the steel steps and announcers tables began to be used as more blood was shed, and pain inflicted. As fatigue set in and match wore on so began the merry go round of close calls and near misses. The Stampede (Triple rolling gutwrench suplexes) from Samuels on Hawkins looked set to shut this one down, but Rivera had something to say and The Midwest Nightmare was blindsided by the Dream Shatterer (Diamond Head), before being attacked by a weary Raynes. Samuels got to this feet and hit Raynes with a huge Lariat but rolled out the ring with exhaustion before capitalising. All three challengers were down, but then out of nowhere, Hawkins was on his feet and climbing the turnbuckle. HOLY DIVER! He leapt off and landed with a Swanton Bomb on Raynes as the crowd jumped to their feet in excitement. ONE! TWO! THREE! The hometown hero had done it, and didn't we know! The roof came near came off in jubilation as the Canadian crowd went wild. It wasn't pretty but an epic main event had seen the crowd on their feet, as the defeated men looked on miserably at a jubilant and relieved Hawkins, each of them wondering how they somehow failed to get this one over the line themselves.
Winner: Griffin Hawkins (Still Openweight Champion)
Emma Harrington was inside the ring ready to present the most prestigious of the End of Year Awards; Wrestler of the Year. She hyped it up a bit, saying this was in recognition of a woman who had set the bar higher than anyone else, and whether people like her not, she remained the one to beat in Five Lakes Wrestling. That person was of course, Kore Violet. 'Therefore I Am' hit the speakers as the Undisputed Champion came out to accept her award. Slinging her belt over her shoulder with pride she accepted the trophy in her other hand, taking a mic from Harrington to predictably gloat. She said she wasn’t one for awards, generally, and as everyone knew she didn't care what the fans think of her, but at the end of the day this one only cements what everyone knew; Kore Violet has always been the one to beat in Five Lakes Wrestling. No one could light a candle to her. Not Nessa Reckless, not Molly Hatchet, not Khloe Bell. Not anybody.
As if on cue then, 'Marry Kill F*ck' hit the speakers, as Khloe Bell stepped out onto the entrance ramp to everyone's surprise. What she was doing there was anyone's guess, but everyone in attendance was intrigued, and excited to find out, as she entered the ring.
'This..', she began, pointing to her trophy, 'I can’t take that away from you. Bravo. But this.. she pointed at the belt, I can.' Kore was confused.
'This..', she began, pointing to her trophy, 'I can’t take that away from you. Bravo. But this.. she pointed at the belt, I can.' Kore was confused.
'Have you completely lost it now?' she replied, mockingly. 'You’re not on my radar. So head home to your crack den or wherever you came from. Unless you want to be the next member of Bite Club.'
Bell said maybe her radar needed repairing because there had been a wee change of plan, putting on her best Molly Hatchet impression.
Kore looked even more confused, and bored.
'You see,' explained Bell, 'There’s a rule that you’re probably familiar with. Anyone who pins the Undisputed champion automatically receives a title shot. And if you recall, last week, in Hamilton.. I pinned YOU. So I’ve been to see the boss and GUESS WHAT!? Tomorrow night it will now be Kore Violet v Nessa Reckless v Khloe FN Bell! I know you've been super excited to finally get your match with Nessa, but now you've got two Reckless Dollz for the price of one!' Bell liked that one, laughing to herself.
She looked over at her own Television Title, draped over her left shoulder. 'I'm gonna be a Mommy again!' she whispered, before exiting to her music, leaving an exasperated Kore stood in the centre of the ring staring her down as the night came a close.
