Team Name: The Hatchet Clan
Wrestler Names: Molly Hatchet and Lexus Van Drachenberg
Heights: 5’ 3” and 6’ 0”
Weights: 115 lbs and 230 lbs (345 lbs combined)
Ages: 27 and 33
Genders: Female
Billed from: St. Fillians, Pirthshire, Scotland and White Sands, NM, USA
Entrance Music: “Black Sheep” by Dorothy
Picbases: Hattie Watson and Kristen Nun
Twitter(s): @m0lly_Hatchet and @lvdrachenberg
Alignment summary: Combined, they are closer to Chaotic Neutral. Molly represents Chaos, Lexus represents Order, and yet they make it work.
What are their views on cheating? Molly only cheats when cheated upon by an opponent, Lexus finds such tactics abhorrent and weak.
A few strengths.. They both know each other very well and are surprisingly coordinated. They communicate well as a team in the ring. Lexus adds coordination to Molly’s chaos and directs the flow of things. Both are durable, though the edge definitely goes to Lexus in that department. Molly is the faster of the two, though Lexus can surprise with sudden and unexpected bursts of frightening agility herself. Their styles really compliment each other in the ring. Both are as solid in singles competition as they are in tag competition. Naturally, Lexus is the super durable tank of the team and will weather a ton of punishment before making a huge comeback. Molly’s almost as tough, but her endurance comes more from spite and willpower than actual physical endurance. She feeds more off of the crowd and often is the one to make the hot tag to Lexus when reaching her limits, though there will be the rare time where this role is reversed.
A few weaknesses.. Molly suffers from ADHD and as such is distractible, which can lead to openings from opponents who can capitalize on it. Molly sometimes likes to go too long in the ring before tagging out, which can lead her to being singled out. Lexus also has a tendency to take on multiple opponents at once alone and while formidable and terrifyingly strong, she can find herself overcome by superior numbers until her partner can make the save.
Favourite weapon(s): Manriki Chain (Molly) Great Maul (Lexus)
Wrestling Style(s): (Copied from Apps)
Lexus: She fights with a cold, calculating and brutal efficiency accented with a modicum of style and finesse. Her tactic is to study and learn the weaknesses of her foes before facing them. The styles she has studied are as follows: Judo, BJJ, Russian Sambo, Kickboxing, and traditional powerhouse wrestling. Strength is not her greatest weapon, but rather her intelligence and cunning, which exceed her formidable physical assets.
Molly: A hybridization of street brawling, lucha libre, european, and japanese shoot wrestling. Molly is quite likely to improvise something during a match due to her very broad and diverse move set. Tends to rely on speed, misdirection, and aerial/springboard moves a great deal. Her only real weakness in wrestling style is her diminutive stature at 5' 3" and weight of 115 lbs. She tends to get thrown around like a ragdoll by larger opponents if she's not careful. On her feet, she's constantly in motion and doing what she can to confuse and confound her opposition while getting as many hits as she can in. In her recent time off, she took up BJJ, specializing in Plata variants with a few extra arm and leg bar holds sprinkled in to better round herself out and while she's no master, she can handle herself quite well in the ground game, making her a well rounded, broadly offensive fighter.
Also her Hardcore game is very strong due to her dirty barroom brawling foundation and a long history of Mexican and Japanese Death Matches on her career resume.
Together: Communication is the key to their success. Molly's an old pro and Lexus is a tenured veteran. They know what to do and how to best utilize each other's strengths, weaknesses, and differences to their advantage.
Finisher(s):
The Great Execution: Bitch Clamp ( Elevated Double Chicken wing hold - Lexus) into a springboard Diamond Cutter (Molly Hatchet)
Divine Fuck You: Divine Judgement with added Insult to Injury (Lexus hits her Divine Judgement finisher as usual, only both she and Molly kick the victim in the front and back of their heads together after the Pumphandle Facebuster.)
Cataclysmic Death Drop: Molly hits her Ginger Ninja Death Drop, her victim popping up in perfect timing to eat a Superkick from Lexus
Signature Moves:
Pop-up Spiral Dropkick (Lexus tosses an opponent up as Molly hits the ropes and leaps at them with her patented spinning dropkick and nails them in the chest or stomach on the way down)
Fastball Special (Lexus grabs Molly and hurls her at an opponent, allowing Molly to hook her arm around their neck for a dropping neckbreaker)
Super German Duplex (Molly has an opponent up on the turnbuckle, ready to hit a super German Suplex, only for Lexus to slip under her and hoist her up for an Elevator Drop while hitting the German, adding height and impact to an already brutal move)
Ding Dong (Molly hits the Glasgow Kiss headbutt, sending them stumbling into Lexus’ much stronger headbutt and driving them right off their feet)
High and Low Roads (With perfect timing, Lexus hits a Superkick at the exact same time Molly hits a low orbit leg drop from the opposite direction)
Common Tag Team Moves:
Double Flapjack, Double DDT, Double Neckbreakers, Irish whips into partner clotheslines/kicks, the two can and will hit as many tag team moves as teams such as the Rogues Gallery who have fifty bajillion common tag team moves.
Known Relationships: They share many common friends and enemies.
Personality/Gimmick summary: The two are the epitome of Chaos and Order working together in harmony. They drive each other forward, building off of each other’s strengths while minimizing each other’s weaknesses as much as possible. The two are well versed in tag tactics, work well together despite personality clashes, and gel incredibly well as a team. Molly treats the Hatchet Clan like a family and often considers the fans in attendance as well as many of her closest friends part of her clan. They are just two representing many.
Real Life Comparison: The Hardyz and Dudleys combined, but sprinkled with a little Legion of Doom, New Day, classic Beer Money, The Steiners, APA, Edge & Christian, and even a scosche of the Outsiders. In otherwords, they borrow heavily from a masterclass of tag team wrestlers over the decades.
Brief Bio/Backstory: Molly and Lexus were rivals in the DiamondBack Wrestling Federation, having an explosive feud in 2013 to 14 across the various territories of Mexico and South America. Lexus was just getting her feet wet in the wrestling business, but the two grew to respect each other despite fundamental differences in ideology. The two did attempt to form the Hatchet Clan in the past with mutual friend Hirata Dokueki, but the timing was off and the company wasn’t keen on the grouping. It lead to a falling out between the two that lasted for a few years until recently, when the two rekindled their friendship due to working together in the Philadelphia based Suplex Company wrestling school, both working as trainers, though Molly pulled double duty as a referee during a hiatus from in-ring competition. A combination of factors had them talking about the Hatchet Clan and better times. So when Molly debuted in 5LW and had a huge tag team contendership opportunity put before her against the Rogues Gallery, the duo would reach an agreement and come together as a team once more, this time intending to be more than just black sheep in another wrestling company. They want to make some history. As Molly has joked once already, the team of Bad Cop and Worse Cop are coming to dominate the tag team division at a level few have realized, looking to set themselves up as perennial rivals to the Rogues Gallery in particular.
