Alignment summary: David is on the "Chaotic Neutral" side of being a Tweener, for the most part he is talkative and respectable to a point because once a line has been crossed, he tends to go all out in crushing the person who has offended him, but other than that he tries to stay calm despite everything going on around him. He is also the kind of guy who it is both a good and a bad thing that he tends to keep his word when it's given.
What are their views on cheating?
Everything at it's own pace, he'll be a sneaky bastard when the need arises..
What are their views on teaming with others?
David's is a case by case situation-if it's one of his fellow freaks in the Phantom Troupe, he's all for teaming with them since he knows them. However in the cases of Kimberly Williams and Griffin Hawkins, he'd be more willing to work with them due to a level of mutual trust that exists between them, and he would be he'd enjoy working with Zara Walker (for good, prime examples)-However he'd have a hard time trusting other people due to past experiences despite his laid back personality.
A few strengths..
1. High-pain threshold: Just like his older brother, Jacob Striker, David has an incredible threshold for pain and while he does not ignore it like his brother does, David instead uses the pain to get more and more focused until eventually he hits that threshold.
2. Innovative offense: Another aspect that David shares with his older brother is that he is very innovative in offense as he is able to chain moves together that normally wouldn't make much sense in a match but in the end turns out to be a lot more effective than anything. One thing that he's proven to be very innovative at throwing together on the fly are submission holds (much like Zach Sabre JR IRL) as he will make his body shift to apply variations of holds that will elict the more torque out of a submission hold.
A few weaknesses..
1. "His brother's shadow": David is the younger brother of Jacob Striker and as such, sometimes he catches shit from people who have issues with Jacob as they automatically assume that he's just like his brother...don't you just "love" family?
2. "Limits...what's that?": There is a misconception that David "loves to push the ref's limits during a match" when in fact he really doesn't, but in order to get the most damage done to an opponent during a match, he will do everything in his power to drag out those moments where he causes the ref to start counting to break a hold, which he'll do, and then turn right back around and reestablish the hold without a moment's hesitation. He'll do this throughout a match to see how much more extra harm he can pull on an opponent.
3. "He has the fury of The King": David doesn't get angry, David gets colder...more *violent*, his strikes become more and more stiffer as the match moves on to the point when he chops you, you're getting every single ounce of that inner rage unleashed on you. The best IRL example of this is Eddie Kingston.
Favourite weapon(s): Whatever happens to be handy.
Favourite match types: Pure Technical, Hardcore/Underground
Wrestling Style(s): While some of David's wrestling style is similar to that of his older brother Jacob's in that he wrestles a very technical style based in European Catch wrestling, that is where the comparisons end as David usually wrestles a much more smash mouth style, preferring to throw himself as hard as possible at his opponents without a care in the world. A real world equivalent would be Karrion Kross mixed with Hallowicked, KENTA, and Tetsuya Naito, however this has changed somewhat as his recent time in SCW and interactions with Kimberly Williams has lead him to taking a more paced style, to ensure that the maximum effect has been felt from his strikes to his submission holds which despite what has been seen of him in recent years as a pure striker-David has a rather vicious array of submission holds that he can call upon, even more varied than his old brother's.
Finisher(s):
1. The "Equivalent Exchange" (Swinging Reverse STO/Jay White's "Blade Runner")
\2. The "Razed in Black" (Omoplata stepover scissored armbar/Zack Sabre Jr's "Jim Breaks Armbar")
3. The "Star Platinum" (Somersault reverse DDT/Destino)
--Multiple "Star Platinum" variantions:
---"Cremation Lily" (Reverse DDT as a counter to a brainbuster, fireman's carry, or an electric chair)
---"Ride the Lighting" (Rear wrist-lock transitioned into a tilt-a-whirl reverse DDT)
Signature Moves:
1. The "Black Meteor" (Corner Kick AKA Second rope springboard roundhouse kick)
2. The "Bad Moon Rising" (Cross-legged Fisherman DDT)
3. The "Viva la *BAM*!" (Tomoaki Honma's Ko-kokeshi-style Falling Headbutt)
4. The "Monster Mash" (Cradle suplex lifted and dropped into a sitout spinebuster pin)
5. The "Black Coffin" (Half nelson lifted & dropped into a bridging Olympic Slam)-adopted from his brother.
6. The "Texas Smash" (Closed fist right hook punch; often culminates a forearm strike battle)-adopted from Masanori Kawada
7. The "Deadly Rave" (Karrion Kross' "Times Up" forearm to the back of the Head)-flash finish
8. The "Divorce Court" (Hammerlock DDT)
Known Relationships (allies/enemies):
1. The "Phantom Troupe": Semi-faction that he kind of leads in SCW/PWN/NFW among other places.
2. Kimberly Williams: Kinda...friends? Heavy on mutual respect due to time fueding with each other in SCW.
3. Zara Walker: Getting to know her, thinks she's killer.
4. Jacob Striker: Older brother, one of the "Pillars of One Wrestle Movement". Works hard to stay out of his shadow.
5. Irvine (Best friend/"Bodyguard"): One of David's oldest and bestest friends, Irvine currently acts as David's "bodyguard" (mostly to keep David from going too "crazy" as it were)
6. Sedition Rising (Hated Rivals): Jamie Austin, Cherry Blackman, Lana Corvin, Adrianna Salvatore, Otto Nova, and Super Tiger 2 in New Frontier Wrestling. They make it a point to try and wreck whatever David is trying to work on.
Personality summary:
"It's alright, it's alright, it's alright
I'm just a little crazy"
--"Little Crazy" by Fight
That is the best way to describe David's personality, he is the complete opposite of his more famous older brother, especially in terms of personality. David is more relaxed and fun loving, known to cut promos from resturants while enjoying good food rather than constantly training for the next match and the match after that and so forth, and these personality traits are also reflected in his style of professional wrestling as well.
However despite being easy going, David does possess a very wicked temper exactly similar to his brother's but where Jake is capable of keeping it reeled in, David on the other hand...well, he can live in his fury without even realizing it.
Brief Bio/Backstory:
David is the younger brother of professional wrestler "Total Elimination" Jacob Striker who briefly worked the indy scene a couple of years prior as "Lighting" Kyle Valentine where he was one half of the Project Honor World Tag Team champions with DJ Hunter as the "Phantom Troupe" before the company imploded due to sheer stupidity, at which point David decided to go back to using his actual name.
A graduate of Vergil Urahara's "Apocalypse Academy" wrestling school, David is never without the band of misfits known as the "Phantom Troupe", which includes his long suffering tag team partner in the ever cool and professional "Elegant Assassin" DJ Hunter, the Maverick Express tag team of "Da Rogue Guy" Sabin Richards and the "*BASTARD*" Gabriel Marik, David's erstwhile "bodyguard" Irvine, and a small host of other misfits and friends that David has brought together.
