LIVE! From Oshawa
Tuesday 24th September
- PRE-SHOW -
Trash Oddity v ‘The Heartland Hero’ Claude Duval
As the crowd were filing in they were greeted with a solid match before the camera’s got rolling. Five Lakes newcomer Trash Oddity took on local veteran Claude Duval in a fairly one sided event. Duval got a couple of power moves in early doors but it was largely one way traffic as Oddity put any future opponents on notice with a Double Underhook Spinning Neckbreaker he calls the Grease Box. After the bell he put a final boot into Claude’s head for good measure, infuriating a group of fans that had travelled to see him.
Winner: Trash Oddity

SINGLES MATCH
Anya Lebeaux v Kathryn Merteuil
Straight into the action tonight as debuting Kathryn Merteuil made her entrance. Showing no appreciation for the fans she quickly got their back up and the heat only increased from there out as she mocked her opponent at any opportunity, but Lebeaux turned around a slow start with a Trojan Horse from nowhere to take it home.
Winner: Anya Lebeaux
BACKSTAGE
Anya stopped backstage for a few words after her win with interviewer Emma Harrington. She didn't really enjoy tonight. Her and Kathryn didn't really have the spark she had hoped for and it wasn't going to work out between them. Harrington looked confused, but probed about who she might have a better chemistry with? Anya didn't hesitate to reply. Noa Skye, for one. And maybe a couple of fellow redheads who will not be named, she added, mysteriously, before walking away with a spring in her step.

IN THE RING
Frank James came out to a loud pop. He only comes out for a reason and it usually means an exciting announcement. Inside the ring there were four briefcases on a table, which only fuelled speculation. He explained that inside these four briefcases were four contracts. One each for a shot at the Television, Brass Knuckles, Openweight and North American Titles. In three weeks time, at Blood and Thunder, the briefcases would be hanging from four poles in each of the corners of the ring. Several men and women would then compete, in a race for the case. He didn't say who at this point, but finished by saying names will be confirmed at next week's show.
Madison Lewis v Tiffany Monroe
Madison Lewis came out to a largely positive reception, with the crowd excited to see her in action. She matched the hype with a straight forward win here, finishing Monroe inside three minutes with a Gorgeous Nightmare (Reverse roundhouse kick). She looked into the camera after and blew a kiss before asking who wanted to be next?

TAG TEAM MATCH
Wicked Grace v Freedom Fighters
Freedom Fighters came out first and jumped on mic to proclaim that they were the TRUE superheroes of the tag division. They were here to clean up any nefarious activity, and including any imposters! This was obviously a reference to the villainous La Fracasada who have taken it upon themselves to adorn capes and masks recently. Debutants Darcy and Kendra Graves interrupted their speech with mics of their own, proclaiming to have real powers, not make believe ones. They vowed to dominate the tag division and eliminate all the competition before them, starting with the Freedom Fighters here tonight. The fight got underway and barely made it to the ring after all four women brawled around the place and into the crowd at one point. Eventually some order was restored and the fight began formally inside the ropes, with Freedom Fighters getting he upper hand. But it soon descended into chaos again when La Fracasada came rushing to the ring to halt proceedings. Again dressed in capes and masked they began throwing punches all the place, yelling onomatopoeic words with each one. SMASH! To Kendra. WHALLOP! To Miss Liberty. KAPOW! They yelled with a double clothesline to Darcy, but Glory was on hand to deliver a double clothesline of her own, as the two sisters fell to the outside of the ring. Dusting themselves off they all stared one another down. This was far from over.
Winners: No contest
BACKSTAGE
Vivian Venture was backstage for an interview. She had her Black Flag Wrestling Caribbean Title around her waist. She said this belt proved she was better than everyone in this company, since half the people here are in Black Flag Wrestling anyway. She rules the seas and soon she will rule the lakes too. Wendy cost her a win two weeks ago, and tonight she’ll pay for her sins.
UNDISPUTED TITLE NO.1 CONTENDERS MATCH
STIPULATIONS TBC
Ryan Samuels v Kanaka Mauna
The match began with both men throwing caution to the wind, trading bone-shaking punches in the center of the ring. Kanaka used his massive frame to gain the early advantage, scooping Samuels up with ease and slamming him into the mat with a thunderous body slam. Samuels, resilient as always, rolled out of the ring and returned with a chair wrapped in barbed wire, immediately smashing it across Kanaka’s chest, leaving deep cuts across the Hawaiian’s massive frame. But the giant only seemed angered, pulling the chair away and hurling Samuels into the corner with authority.
Kanaka set up for his trademark chokeslam, but Samuels blocked it with a series of stiff kicks to the gut, causing the giant to stumble. The two men brawled around the ring, taking the fight into the crowd. Chairs and kendo sticks were used as weapons, with each man taking brutal shots to the head and body, but neither would stay down for long.
The momentum swung back and forth as the brawl spilled up the arena steps and onto a balcony overlooking the ringside area. With the crowd on their feet, Samuels delivered a series of wild punches, but Kanaka, displaying his monstrous strength, grabbed Ryan by the throat and, with a roar, tossed him off the balcony, sending him crashing through a stack of tables below. The impact echoed through the arena as the crowd erupted in disbelief.
Samuels lay in a heap of broken wood, but Kanaka wasn’t done. He slowly made his way down to the wreckage and dragged Samuels back into the ring, setting him up for what seemed to be the finishing blow. Kanaka hoisted Samuels up for a powerbomb onto a barbed wire board, but Samuels fought back, gouging Kanaka’s eyes and using his veteran instincts to wriggle free.
Both men were exhausted and bloodied, but Samuels, ever resourceful, grabbed a steel chair and delivered a brutal shot to Kanaka’s head. Kanaka staggered but didn’t fall. Another chair shot. The giant swayed on his feet but still wouldn’t go down. Desperately, Samuels grabbed the chair again and smashed it over Kanaka’s skull a third time, finally bringing the giant to his knees.
But that still wasn’t enough. With blood streaming down his face, Samuels delivered two more vicious chair shots, sending Kanaka collapsing to the mat, but the crowd could sense that Samuels wasn’t done. With Kanaka incapacitated, Samuels set up a table at ringside, dragging the giant out of the ring and across the it, before slowly climbing the turnbuckle.
The crowd held its breath as Samuels, barely able to stand from exhaustion, launched himself off the top rope, delivering the ugliest, most desperate body splash of his career. The impact was devastating, the table shattering under the combined weight of Samuels and Kanaka. The noise of wood snapping and bodies colliding with the concrete floor echoed through the arena.
Both men lay in the wreckage, but it was Samuels who somehow managed to crawl on top of Kanaka and cover him for the three-count. The referee’s hand hit the mat, and the bell rang.
Winner: Ryan Samuels (Number One Contender to the Undisputed Title)
BACKSTAGE
Alejandro Rivera was seen entering the arena. He wasn't booked tonight and was told to stay away from Duke’s match, leading to much speculation. He didn’t stop to speak to anyone, but looked like he had something on his mind as he walked down the corridor and out of sight.
SINGLES MATCH
Zara Walker v Billie Garner
Since the return Zara has faced the same opponents on two separate occasions, with one impressive win, and coming away empty handed in the other. Tonight was a good opportunity to get things back on track as she looks to get herself back into the various title scenes. And she duly delivered with a neat Bridging straight jacket electric chair drop she aptly calls Walk All Over You. Some front row fans had come to see her personally, and she celebrated by eating some doughnuts with them immediately after, garnering a loud pop from the crowd.
Winner: Zara Walker
BACKSTAGE
Zara was on hand for an interview once she finally made it backstage. Relaxed as ever she spoke a bit about last week. It was disappointing not to win but seeing Gwen Margolis win the TV Title later on made up for it. It was easy to see why she was such a fan favourite. Asked what her next goal was she shrugged. We’ll see what comes my way, she said. In the meantime, more sweet treats!
SINGLES MATCH
Wendy Wynne v Vivian Venture
After an ill-fated tag bout these two have failed to see eye to eye and were given a chance to settle their dispute inside the ring here. Venture, a couple of men on either arm, came out still adorning her Caribbean championship. She held it up to the fans which didn't go down well. A bizarre chant of 'WE LOVE LAKES' broke out but it died down when Wendy's music hit. The Wicked Witch was a crowd favourite tonight and rushed to the ring to get the fight underway. It quickly spilled onto the outside and soon enough they were whipping one another into the ring posts and steel steps. Vivian put Wendy through the announcers table before taking it back to the ring to finish things off, but Wendy found a second win and reversed her advances into a Broomstick Slam (Jackhammer) to steal this win. The camera's shot to the cheering fans, zooming in on an ominous looking woman wearing a large fake beard in the front row. She pulled it down momentarily and smiled, to reveal herself as Anya Lebeaux! Before pulling the beard back up and stroking it suspiciously.
Winner: Wendy Wynne
BACKSTAGE
Alejandro Rivera is seen backstage again, pacing around the corridors. ‘HOT DAMN LIL PAPI!’ bellows a voice off camera. Rivera rolled his eyes. ‘Fuck you Samuels,’ he replied, gritting his teeth and clenching his fists, as 'The Midwest Nightmare' Ryan Samuels, came walking towards him. ‘Whoa whoa son. Why the hostility? I come in peace. In fact I came to offer you something.’ Rivera stared a hole right through him, resentful but curious at the same time. ‘As you probably done heard, I got me a shot to be the Undisputable Champion of Five Lakes Rasslin’ hot damn!’ Rivera was visibly frustrated and went to walk away, but Samuels pulled him back, much to his annoyance. His patience was wearing thin. ‘I done did see what that Duke did to you in that match last week. That shit ain’t right, man. I’m a whoop his ass for you someday, I promise. But when I win the World Undisputed Five Lakes Title, I’m gonna do the right thing by you and make amends for it all. Yes sir. You got my word.’ Rivera wasn’t buying it. He waited for Samuels to finish his talking, but it never came. Eventually, he gave in. ‘You.. are you gonna give me.. a shot at the title, if you win it?’ He said, shaking his head in disbelief as he said it. ‘Fuck no Lil Papi! I didn’t say that.' Samuels howled. 'You are one funny guy. What I meant is I will let you hold my belt for a whole damn minute! Hell I’ll let even let you and your little girlfriend hold it together, maybe get a little picture for the family home, cus that is the closest you are EVER gonna get to that belt Lil Papi! HOT DAMN!’ Samuels laughed hysterically but his laugh didn’t last long, as Rivera thumped him with a right hook and the Midwest Nightmare went flying backwards, through the catering and into a pile of people. ‘Fucking asshole’ muttered Rivera, before walking off.
BACKSTAGE
Elsewhere in the backstage halls, Tiffany Lynn Page is on hand for interview. She did what everyone knew what she would and moved one step closer to becoming Undisputed Champion. It was always going to happen someday, she just never had the opportunity until now. It feels good knowing that she will soon be the true Queen of this company. After Duke wins tonight he'll eatn a shot of his own, meaning he will be in the match too, right beside her to make sure no one gets in the way. Start bowing down to your new Queen, the coronation is coming!
TAG TEAM MATCH
The McConaigh Brothers v Kimberley Williams & David Striker
Williams and Striker came out together to a huge cheer. Striker had a garbage can full of weapons and Kim was wheeling a shopping cart full too. With the brothers already out Kim got on the mic and suggested they turn this otherwise "boring tag match" into a street fight! The crowd cheered, piling the pressure on Owen and Finn, who shrugged and agreed. Once underway the crowd were on their feet as the makeshift team of Striker and Williams took advantage of the stipulations to dominate the Scottish siblings. Striker clocked Finn with a large bell, as Kim sealed things with a face full of Wasley to Owen!
Winners: Kimberley Williams & David Striker
IN THE RING
Kimberley took to the mic after and thanked her partner, David Striker. She said they make a good team, and someday soon they should do it again. But tonight was about sending a message. A message to Frank James and a message to whoever the Brass Knuckles Champion is after tonight! She is coming for that belt. 'Make it happen, Frank!' she yelled, 'Give the people want they want!' The crowd went wild as they left the ring together.
BACKSTAGE
We cut backstage to see the self proclaimed 'single greatest tag team in all of the world' the Midnight Demon Club. They were once again sporting their signature matching MDC track jackets, along with matching green and silver ring gear. The only thing missing? Gold.
SILAS ROMERO: “It’s that time once again, ladies and gentlemen. Your favorite tag team is back where we belong! We’re back! … in the main event. It’s been quite some time since Noa and I were in this situation. We last held gold together in the House of Wrestling. But tonight? That all changes, my friends. You see, it’s time that the MDC remind each and every one of you why we are the best and why there isn’t a single tag team that can hang with us! I know that’s going to break a few hearts, but that’s just the way of life.”
Noa paces back and forth behind Silas as he says all of this.
SILAS ROMERO: “But tonight is even more special. See, not only are we going to take those Television Tag Titles from the spawn of Satan, but once we win? WE get to pick Flynn’s next title defence and when we do, we’re going to show them and the world why when it comes to facing the Midnight Demon Club that sometimes..”
Noa practically explodes from behind Silas and puts her face dead center on the camera lens.
NOA SKYE: “DEAD IS BETTER.”
With that, our heroes give a smirk to the camera and exit stage right.
TAG TEAM MATCH
C&C v La Fracasada
From the self-proclaimed best team in the world to the self proclaimed superheroes of the tag division. Jess and Avery came "flying" to the ring, running with their arms out-stretched, capes waving behind them. Coco and Claire tolerated it for a few second before punching them both in the face and getting the match underway. A dominant display for the controverial pairing looked set to be wrapped up quickly after a few quick tags, but Avery offered a surprise comeback for the siblings after a reversal on Coco. Just as things began to look up the Freedom Fighters came down to ring side and the two teams began arguing over the ropes. Coco took advantage moments later the match was over, with a first sighting of their finisher Get Creamed, when Claire picked up Avery in a Fireman’s Carry and threw her toward Coco, who caught her clean with the FaceFucker (Double Knee Facebreaker). A first win for C&C, albeit under strange circumstances.
Winners: C&C (Coco Lazlo and Claire Lichfield)
BACKSTAGE
Coco and Claire were cock-a-hoop in the backstage area. After being stopped for an interview Coco declared this another routine win for the great "Cookies and Cream". Claire interrupted to say that wasn't their team name and demanded the interview be edited before it goes out. THANKFULLY, the Referees didn't interfere in their match tonight, and disqualify them for all the wrong reasons, she said. This meant they could prove to everyone they really were the best team in the business. They challenged ANYONE brave enough to step in the ring with them at the Supershow because after that they are going to claim ALL the belts, said Claire. 'That's right!' added Coco. They were going to steal all the gold, all the men and all the women too,' she added. Claire shook her head disappointingly as we cut back to ringside.
SINGLES MATCH
Andrew Raynes v Hideo Watanabe
A return to singles competition after an impressive run with the Television Tag Titles for Raynes. Most people would be more aggrieved at the manner in which those belts were taken from him, but Raynes’ focus was unrivalled as he shook off the disappointment and moved onto whatever was next. Hideo though had control of the majority of this match, and a statement win against the Toughest Out was on the cards, until he locked on his infamous Caught in the Rayne out of nowhere to take this one home.
Winner: Andrew Raynes
BACKSTAGE
Hideo was furious, kicking things in his pathway. Emma Harrington nipped in for a quick interview and he grabbed the mic. Things haven’t gone his way lately and he wasn’t happy. Someone soon will be in the wrong place at the wrong time, he said.
RINGSIDE
The camera pans around the crowd to see them hyped ahead of this match. It zones in on the rafters, where we see Trash Oddity stalking this match up. After his successful debut on the pre-show the commentators speculate why he’s up there, hanging around, as he leans over the guard rail and lights a cigarette. Several people around him blow away the smoke, unimpressed, but one or two seem excited to have him amongst them, as he exhales into the air, not a care in the world.

BRASS KNUCKLES TITLE MATCH
Jack McGrath (c) v Monty Margolis
Fans were excited to see Monty back in the ring, and with his ageing body and new parental responsibilities these instances could be few and far between. That said a win here would see him back on a weekly basis to defend the title and he didn’t pass up the opportunity to get himself back amongst the Five Lakes gold. He took the fight to McGrath in a brutal affair. Patient Zero took a fair amount of punishment and let out a smile at the competition before him, presumably a sign of respect from the otherwise emotionless champion. The continued the fight up the rampway and into the backstage halls, demolishing the catering area, with McGrath eventually finishing things with a Cold Snap (Cradle Piledriver) onto the concrete. He trudged back to the ring and collected his belt only to be greeted with a 'WE WANT KIM!' chant. Pausing momentarily he snarled at the crowd, before raising the belt above his head. They would never adhered to him, and that was probably how he liked it. A quick glance up at the space where Trash Oddity stood from the cameras, but by now he was gone.
Winner: Jack McGrath (Still Brass Knuckles Champion)
BACKSTAGE
Monty Margolis was seen getting to his feet after a hard fought match, clutching his head in the process. The crowd cheered as he gave a thumbs up to the camera, before we cut back to ringside.

SINGLES MATCH
NON-TITLE
Duke Andrews v Vanessa Reckless
Vanessa opted not to come out alone, as expected, with Rowen in tow for this one as she paraded her title around the ring. Duke came out with his beau, Tiffany Lynn Page, who’s set to face Reckless for her title in a few weeks time. The match got underway and Duke's physicality proved too much for the champion in the early exchanges. But this wasn't her first rodeo and she worked her way back into the match, by hook or by crook, until she was firmly in control. Lynn Page jumped up on the apron at one stage to prevent a potential three count. The distraction worked but she was pulled down by Rowen who swung a chair at her. Page ducked at the last second and superkicked Rowen in the face, with the chair in between. Nessa looked on helpless allowing Duke enough time to recover and take advantage, hitting the One Winged Angel to steal the victory, and a shot at the Undisputed Title in doing so! Rowen was back on her feet now and threw two chairs into the ring, one for her and one for Vanessa. Duke and Page exited hastily, knowing there was no time to prepare a fight back, as the Reckless Dollz stood in the centre of the ring. Rowen handed Vanessa her belt, who raised it aloft as a reminder of who was champion.
Winner: Duke Andrews (triggers a shot at the Undisputed Title)
BACKSTAGE
No sooner has the match finished and Alejandro Rivera has made his way down the corridor and into the office of Frank James. He says he stayed out of Duke Andrews match as promised. It pained him not to run down to the ring and knock his head off, but he did it. Even more so knowing that he wormed his way into a shot at the Undisputed Title. An opportunity, he reminded Frank, that was taken from himself! Before Frank could reply Andrew Raynes came into the room. He had a gripe of his own. If it wasn't for Duke and Rivera's feud he would still be a Television Tag Team champion. He was cost his belt, and now everyone else seems to be better for it, except him. James didn't disagree. Raynes had not been given much luck here. But he had a solution that was fair for all. Next week, Raynes and Rivera were going to team up. They looked at one another, disapprovingly. Their opponents.. Duke Andrews and Tiffany Lynn Page. Rivera rubbed his hands together. If they win, as a team, they both get to enter the Undisputed Title Match at Blood and Thunder. Now Raynes was a little more pleased too. He turned to Rivera. 'Don't choke on me,' he warned. Rivera scoffed. 'Don't fuck this up,' he replied.

TELEVISION TITLE MATCH
Gwen Margolis (c) v Indie Legends
After such a long wait for singles success it would have been heart break for Gwen to lose her belt here at the first test. That said Indie was a difficult opponent and made life difficult for the new champion early on. She weathered that storm well though and rounded off a fine first defence with the Texas Twist (Swinging leg hook fireman’s carry slam). The crowd were on their feet as she celebrated with them on her way back up the ramp.
Winner: Gwen Margolis (Still Television Champion)
IN THE RING
Frank James was back out, mic in hand. He confirmed that after tonight's events, and the announcement earlier in the night of Raynes and Rivera versus Andrews and Lynn Page at next week’s show, that Duke Andrews would recive his shot at the Undispued Title at Blood and Thunder. That match would now include Vanessa Reckless, Tiffany Lynn Page, Ryan Samuels, Duke Andrews and of course, if they win next week, AJ Rivera and Andrew Raynes. If they lose, Rivera and Raynes will fight each other at the Supershow instead, as a way to take out their frustrations on one another!
That wasn’t all though. Next week there will be no Brass Knuckles OR Television Title match. The crowd were less impressed by this decision but he explained why. He said pending tonight’s outcome, either Silas Romero or Flynn Howell will challenge Ichabod Thrasher for the Openweight Title next week. Whichever way that goes, he wants all men to be fresh and for it to be the best match it can be. As for the Brass Knuckles Title.. no sooner had he said it a chant of ‘WE WANT KIM!’ started up again. Frank laughed. ‘Yes, yes, I know.’ He replied, adding that THIS was the reason there would be no match. The next Brass Knuckles Title match will be a Last Person Standing match. It will be at Blood and Thunder. And it will be Jack McGrath versus Kimberley Williams! The crowd cheered, as the General Manager exited, satisfied he had given the fans what they want.
TELEVISION TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH
Red Lock Legion (c) v Midnight Demon Club
If Red Lock Legion win Flynn will receive Silas' Openweight Title shot. If MDC win then Silas gets to handpick a challenger for Flynn's Junior Heavyweight Title at Blood and Thunder.
With both teams out a reminder was given that the stakes had been set higher since this match was made, with Flynn’s bold challenge for Silas to put his title shot on the line, wagering it for a decision over who will challenge him for his Junior Heavyweight crown. A belt he jokingly claims Romero is ‘too fat’ to fight for himself. Once again it was Corsen and Flynn taking the reins for this freebird family, but the brother-sister combo made sure to drape their belts over their Mother’s shoulder beforehand, so everyone could see that she too was a champion. Scarlett walked around the ring with both straps bouncing off her chest to a mixed reception, before handing them to the officials. The match was a chaotic affair, with Red Lock’s ire for their opponents getting the better of them in the beginning. This let the MDC in for a spell of dominance, as they wowed the crowd with quick tags and unrivalled chemistry. Corsen though pulled off the most miraculous of reversals on Romero and the Howell siblings looked set for an impressive, and astonishingly clean, defence of their titles. Until Noa hit a slingshot DDT from nowhere on Flynn to swing things back in their favour. The crowd were hyped, as they closed in on victory. Corsen managed to tag herself in but it came to no avail as Romero saw her coming with a clothesline. Flynn was sent packing as Romero picked up Corsen and flipped her upside down. The crowd were going wild. DEAD IS BETTER! Noa had called it earlier in the night! With Corsen in the modified Tombstone hold Noa hits the one-legged Codebreaker!! It’s all over! New champions! The Television Tag belts get hot potatoed three weeks running. Silas and Noa are handed the belts and embrace in the centre of the ring, before climbing upon opposite turnbuckles to celebrate. Flynn is furious, kicking chairs and other inanimate objects laid around the outside of the ring. He looked up at Silas who taps his chin with his finger, as if to ponder who he’ll choose to face him in the coming weeks, before letting out a laugh. The new champions then turn their attention to the top of the entrance ramp to see Kore Violet and Colin Moriarty standing there. Were they here tonight all along? Moriarty taps his wrist in a ticking watch like motion. It’s only a matter of time before he makes them pay for the ‘injustice’ of his Undisputed Title loss. The Midnight Demon Club thrust their belts into the air, string them down, in the final image of tonight’s show.
Winners: Midnight Demon Club (New Television Tag Team Champions)
