LIVE! From Toledo
Sunday 10th September
The shows opens up as the fans are making their way into the building. Tickets are being checked and merchandise being bought. As the fans find their seats, a loud crash can be heard as a pair of side doors swing open forcefully. Standing there, as the light shines over him, is “The Midwest Nightmare” Ryan Samuels. The large pissed off cowboy scans around the room.
Ryan Samuels: What a dump. Fuckin’ cheap promoters.
Grabbing a nearby fan, he launches the poor innocent man into a row of chairs. He then cracks his neck and starts swinging his bull rope around, clearing the fans out of his way as he heads down to the ringside area.
A quick pan around the crowd showed some of the signs in attendance, including..
'The first rule of Bite Club is...'
'I only came to see Griffin Hawkin's hair'
and 'Khloe Rang My Bell'

DEBUTANT SHOWCASE
TRIPLE THREAT MATCH
Ryan Samuels v Griffin Hawkins v Chelsea LeClair
All three debutants were warmly received apart from Samuels whose own Mother wouldn’t probably cheer for him. But the Midwest Nightmare didn’t care one iota and promptly put the boot into his opponents early on. It was something of a handicap match to begin with until Griffin tried a crafty roll up on LeClair when she least expected it. This galvanised the New Jersey girl who almost had it won with an impressive Corkscrew Moonsault on Hawkins but Samuels stepped in at the last second to pull her off, tossing her half way across the ring in doing so. By this point he'd seen enough and climbed out the ring to grab a chair, returning to lay one over the head of LeClair. He tried to do the same to Hawkins but he saw it coming and kicked him in the midriff and clotheslined him out the ring. The Referee called for the bell declaring this match over, much to LeClair's disappointment.
Winner: No Contest
TABLES MATCH
Khloe Bell v Jess Carter
Carter came out first, brimming with hubris as always which is somewhat admirable for a woman that rarely wins. She set up at least nine tables in and around the ring in hope of a quick victory but it naturally backfired very early on. The bell rang and she charged at the North American champ who swiftly side stepped allowing Carter to fall face first through her own table. Bell, naturally frustrated, proceeded to bully to the Ref into letting the match continue and things got back underway. Carter held her own a bit longer this time, almost causing an upset for one very brief moment, but a Canadian Backbreaker Rack wore her down and she soon succumbed to a Vertical Suplex Brainbuster through one of the tables. Bell picked her up and put her through another one for good measure, reminding everyone why she was a champion. Next week she demanded stiffer opposition, and welcomed the winner of tonight's Main Event to try and take her belt away.
Winner: Khloe Bell
Next up was the one on one interview with Undisputed Champion, Kore Violet. Emma Harrington was ready and waiting and introduced her to the ring. Out she came to the usual jeers but it was slightly quieter this time, with the crowd interested in what she had to say. Violet was asked what it meant to be the top champion and face of the company, but in her eyes she was already the face of the company, ever since she signed on the dotted line. Holding the belt didn't change that, it just prevented anyone else from sharing the limelight. Or the dark, as she preferred. She went to say that professional wrestling was a cold and dark place, and that's why she liked it, why she thrived in this business when other's don't. She was willing to go to places that many refuse, and find ways of winning that others don't know how. Asked if anyone could beat her in 5LW she replied unequivocally, no one. Cue Jay Sinclair's music. Kore rolled her eyes, and jumped on the mic before he could speak to ask if he had stopped crying about his defeat yet. Sinclair slung his Openweight Title over his shoulder and began to tell the crowd why Kore should not be lauded for her triumph with this air time. Shame on Harrington, and shame on the promoters. Kore retorted that Sinclair was old and washed up, and predicted that as soon as he has to defend his belt one on one he will lose to a better opponent - possibly even tonight. Sinclair vowed that wouldn't be the case, but promised he would not go away until the score had been settled. Out of the darkness would come the light, and he promised a new dawn very soon.
SALAVEA TWINS OPEN CHALLENGE
TAG TEAM MATCH
NON-TITLE
Salavea Twins (Jacob and Rodney Salavea) v The NOVA Empire (Otto Nova and Jessi Ozborne)
Next was up a hotly contested tag match as the champions in the Salavea Twins went up against newcomers Otto and Jessi. In what was a possibly a brash retaliation to the Reckless Dollz, they had offered up an open challenge and their opponents tonight had swiftly answered, much to everyone's surprise and delight. The NOVA Empire have trained together for some time but spent little to no time together in competitive action. It didn’t show though, their natural chemistry causing the Salavea Twins all kinds of problems early on. Jacob and Rodney though knew how to grind things out and slowly but surely worked their way back into contention. It could have been a different story when Otto hit a brutal Diving Double Foot Stomp but Rodney was alert to the danger and made sure to break the pin in the nick of time. Timing their tags to perfection they finally got the upper hand and sealed things with a Burning Hammer from Jacob, followed up by Diving Knee Drop from Rodney on a helpless Otto Nova. Ozborne was inches away from breaking the pin, but sadly couldn't save him. A solid showing in their maiden bout together, but the Salavea's celebrated, knowing full well this could have gone very differently on another day. It was clear that these two teams had not seen the last of one another, and with the NOVA Empire undoubtedly going to improve with each passing week, things were hotting up nicely in the Tag divison.
Winners: The Salavea Twins
Khalon Norwood was backstage looking for Frank James. When he finally found him he had a lot to get off his chest. Why was Rivera competing for the Openweight Title when it was him that pinned Rivera last week? James said Rivera has been here since day one, and whether people like him or not, had proved himself to be a good wrestler and worthy challenger for the title. One defeat in a tag match last week did not disprove that. However, Khalon too had been impressive in his time here. So for that he would be rewarded with his own opportunity. Arley Kirk is a very decorated wrestler, and a good test for the up and coming Norwood. If he wins tonight he would get the next shot at the Openweight Title. If not, he needed to be patient and continue to prove himself.
OPENWEIGHT TITLE MATCH
Jay Sinclair v AJ Rivera
Another opportunity for these two heavyweights to test one another, this time around there were to be no interruptions or additional opponents. And what a contest it proved to be. The experienced Sinclair always made life difficult for his opponents, instinctively knowing how and when to adapt his style. He was arguably more in his comfort zone here though against the similarly powerful and chaotic Rivera. Sinclair lead this rivalry 1-0 heading into the night but it felt as though these two were made to bring the best out of one another. Rivera kicked out of the Jaypocalypse (Electric Chair Powerbomb) and Sinclair remarkably kicked out of Dream Shatterer (Diamond Head) but he couldn’t withstand a second as an exhausted Rivera made the pin. Khloe Bell came running down the ramp, grabbing the title off the Ref and thrusting it into her man's arms as a weary Rivera raised his arm aloft in victory. The 'power couple' now both in possession of titles, an many had envisioned, yet didn't want to see.
Winner: AJ Rivera (New Openweight Champion)
Arley Kirk was backstage with Emma Harrington. She talked about her time here so far in 5LW, saying they hadn’t seen the best of her yet. She hyped up her friend Griffin Hawkins a little after his debut earlier in night before turning to her opponent. Unlike Norwood, she believed respect and opportunities were to be earned, not given, and tonight she would do what she always does, go and there and put on a display. Norwood thinks he's the cat that got the cream, but she was about to raise her game and put the rest of the roster on notice.
SINGLES MATCH
Tiffyany Lynn Page v Callie Renton
After teaming together successfully last week it was time for these two to settle the score. Many would be grateful for helping one another to an impressive victory, but TLP's bitterness had quickly created a bad feeling between them. She took the match to the lesser experienced Renton early on, almost laughing at the perceived ease of the competition. But Renton was tough to break and unexpectedly reversed a Judas Effect to her advantage. She was on top now, and Page had nowhere to go as Renton beat her around her the ring to the fans enjoyment. However, Page was nothing if not savvy, and somehow found the energy to wriggle free from an Asia DDT and roll up Renton from behind with a fist full of tights and her feet on the ropes. Renton's legs flailed but Page had the strength to hold on with the tiniest of margins to steal the win. She rolled out the ring and brushed off her shoulders as if it was nothing as Renton shook her head in dismay. She looked at the Ref but didn't waste her energy in complaint, instead staring down a smiling Page as she walked back up the entrance ramp.
Winner: Tiffany Lynn Page
There was a quick promotional piece for the new signings in 5LW, who would be debuting next week, as some footage of their previous matches appeared on the screen. One by one their names were displayed, much to the fans excitement.

SINGLES MATCH
Khalon Norwood v Arley Kirk
An inevitable rise through the ranks is expected for both of these prospects, but there could only be one winner tonight. For Norwood there was more at stake following his conversation with Frank James earlier in the night, and he came into this match all guns blazing. With Kirk on the back-foot he could smell blood and wanted this wrapped up quickly, but Kirk had been in this situation a thousand times over, and knew an opportunity would fall to her in time. When it did she was there to take it and made sure it didn't slip through her fingers. Norwood got back in on a several occasions, but she just about kept him at bay. They twist and turned, countering one another with impressive technical prowess until Kirk finally locked on with the RipLash (Berkocet) for an impressive victory, that got the fans on their feet throughout.
Winner: Arley Kirk
MAIN EVENT
NORTH AMERICAN TITLE NO. 1 CONTENDER
Leati Salavea v Lauryn Lawson
It was only a matter of time before these two settled their feud after multiple altercations in recent weeks. With both La Fracasada and the Salavea at ringside the Referee instructed both wrestlers and their allies that if any of them so much as stepped up onto the ring apron, the match would be declared void. Both wrestler's nodded as the match got underway. Leati's power looked too much for Lawson to handle for the majority of the match, but her speed and agility was equally difficult for the former cage fighter to contend with at various times. Eventually Leati gained a stronghold on the match until Lawson surprised everyone with a take-down to his knee strike. Lawson sensed there was a quick opportunity to make things count and hit him with a Running Punt. Leati was a big man though and she knew it wouldn't be enough. He staggered to his feet and as she stalked him from behind, cleanly landing a Backstabber as she made the pin and claimed a surprising victory. Leati rolled out the ring looking forlorn and disappointed. Meanwhile La Fracasada jumped into the ring to celebrate with Lawson, but she was having none of it. This was her moment, and her success, as the night came to a close.
Winner: Lauryn Lawson (New North American Title No.1 Contender)
