‘Death to the Tag Division!’
‘TATER 3:16’
and ‘I. Am. Legion.’
Iida Matsuda v Legion
The hotly anticipated debut of Legion did not disappoint, as she held off an early flurry of attacks from Matsuda to find her feet and eventually take control. Once on top there was no looking back as she signed things off nicely with her finisher Storytime (Double Fujiwara Armbar). She stared down her beaten opponent, leaving a strong but lasting impression on all, as her followers joined her in the ring thereafter.
Winner: Legion
Backstage we see some birthday celebrations for Jessica Carter at catering. Tiffany Lynn Page is there, as is Avery Smith. Khloe Bell appears, and points to the table as Carter shakes her head nervously. Bell explains that she means the cake and champagne as a relieved Carter thanks her and they continue to celebrate.

TAG TEAM MATCH
La Fracasada v Unicorn Nerd Inc.
Unicorn could not have asked for a more difficult debut here in 5LW, with Jess Carter desperate to avenge last weeks defeat. La Fracasada though are always less than the sum of their parts, and tonight is no different as they stumble to the ring somewhat tipsy from the backstage birthday party. They actually started on the front foot, but some unnecessary quick tags afforded Unicorn Nerd Inc. a way in and an easy route to a nice maiden victory. Their Neon Glam Slam (Wheelbarrow facebuster, cutter combination) impressed the crowd but the cheers soon to turned to jeers when they continued the beat-down after getting the pin. With Avery out cold on the outside they set up a table in the middle of the ring and plundered a helpless Carter right through the middle of it. A clear statement to the rest of the tag division.
Winners: Unicorn Nerd Inc.
Emma Harrington was backstage as Ryan Samuels came pounding down the corridors past her. She stopped him for a few words. Samuels, never short of anything to say, duly obliged.
Marcellus, you think you have a chance against me? That's downright laughable. I don't care how charming or sociable you are outside that ring; when we're in there, it's a different story. You must be living in some fantasy world if you believe you can hang with "The Midwest Nightmare."
I've seen countless opponents come and go, each one thinking they had what it takes to beat me. And you, with your charming personality, you think you're the one who's gonna knock me off my throne? Get real, Marcellus. You're in for a harsh reality check when we face off, and your delusions of grandeur will crumble faster than a sandcastle at high tide.
So, by all means, keep underestimating me, keep believing in your own hype. But when the dust settles, you'll realize that you've bitten off way more than you can chew. "The Midwest Nightmare" doesn't just talk the talk; I walk the walk, and I'm about to stomp all over your dreams of victory. Get ready for a rude awakening, Marcellus.
SINGLES MATCH
Ryan Samuels v Mt. Marcellus
These two behemoths went at it hammer and tongs as the debuting Marcellus gave the usually dominant Samuels the slobberknocker he enjoys. On an ordinary day these two would bully their smaller opponents, but neither let up when things weren’t going their way. Samuels patience wore thin eventually though, and with other things on his agenda he once again took to the outside of the ring and picked up his trusty bull rope. Returning to the ring he wrapped it round the throat of Marcellus immediately getting himself disqualified, only releasing when he was satisfied. Marcellus gathered himself shortly after, leaving the ring with a furious look on his face.
Winner: Mt. Marcellus by DQ
Samuels marches on backstage but was stopped by Emma Harrington once again. She barely had time to ask him about his actions before he grabbed the mic and went off on a tirade about how he was going to continue hurting people until he gets what he wants. Harrington ask what that he was. Samuels then stared directly into the camera..

TAG TEAM MATCH
Tate Rayner & Andrew Raynes v Callie Renton & Chelsea LeClair
Two teams made up of four people who probably didn’t even know each other existed before this match was made. What could go wrong. Everything, that’s what. Renton and LeClair took a while to get going and find some kind of chemistry, as Raynes opted not to tag his partner in, preferring to go it alone and show what he was personally capable of. It was only once he came unstuck that he had no alternative to seek help. Raynes had dominated the early stages, proving too much for his counterparts, but it wasn’t to last as LeClair and Renton began working in unison. Tate by this point was already pissed off and after an initial reprise for his team he refused to get the help he needed either and eventually fell to Renton's Starry Eyes (Reverted Rebound into a Black Mass Kick). She tagged in LeClair, who knew exactly what to do, climbing the turnbuckle for her "CANCELLED!" (Corkscrew Moonsault) to seal the win for her team. After the match Raynes confronted Tate, furious that he wasn’t tagged in when needed. An argument ensued between the pair as the Referee stepped in to prevent it escalating further.
Winners: Callie Renton and Chelsea LeClair
Leaning against the hallway wall backstage are Alejandro Rivera and Khloe Bell, both with their respective belts over their shoulders. The couple is hanging onto one another like the high school quarterback and his cheer squad girlfriend, smirking and admiring themselves and each other. It's clear the couple would be happy to continue enjoying each other's company and observing the show when they are approached and questioned about just why they have come tonight when neither is wrestling. Khloe steps forward first to say that even though they aren't wrestling they are always keeping their eyes on 5 Lakes and the rising talents. AJ is the next to step forward, lifting his title up with a smirk. He echoes his girlfriend's sentiments, adding on that he knows Jay Sinclair kept him on his toes but that it just wasn't enough and that anyone else in 5 Lakes Wrestling who thinks they are on the same level as he, or his gal are just plain fooling themselves. With a laugh, Khloe grabs AJ by the front of his shirt and pulls him in for a messy kiss that's enough to make the cameraman leave.
TAG TEAM MATCH
Reckless Dollz v Nova Empire
The NOVA Empire came within a whisker of beating the Tag Team champions last week, and were more than ready to go again with a strong display in the opening exchanges of this match. The Reckless Dollz have declared that the Salavea Twins reign would be the death of the tag division here in 5LW and needed to back this up to avoid embarrassing themselves with those comments. And that's exactly what they did. The NOVA Empire looked great in spells, their individual talents clearly shining through, but the well-oiled machine of the Dollz in the end proved a little too much, as they snuck in with a double teamed maneouver when the Ref was busy to take the win.

Kore Violet was backstage with Emma Harrington. Harrington joked that it would be nice to interview her without interruptions, but Kore shrugged it off. She was the champion and everyone wants a piece of her. She wasn't phased by it and welcomed any challengers, including Jay Sinclair. Right now she was focused on Tiffany Lynn Page though. Asked what Page would bring she was quick to give a backhanded compliment; experience and maturity, everything you expect from an old woman that’s past her prime.
HEADLINER
SINGLES MATCH
Khalon Norwood v Griffin Hawkins
Norwood suffered a big blow to his title hopes last week, but will get another bite at the cherry in next week's Television Title bout. As does Hawkins and just about everyone else, so this would serve as a good precursor for potentially two of the favourites. As soon as the bell went though Norwood opted to leave the ring. He grabbed a mic as the Referee counted him out. Hawkins looked on in confusion, furious that he'd not be given a fight. Norwood said he was a big star now, the biggest draw in 5LW in fact, and refused to fight a greasy newcomer like Hawkins. From now on he only fought for titles or title opportunities. He dropped the mic and exited the arena to huge levels of abuse.
Winner: Griffin Hawkins by countout
Hawkins, initially annoyed, didn't let his emotions get the better of him. The crowd chanted his name as he high-fived the front row fans and signed some autographs. An amp and guitar then appeared out of nowhere, crowdsurfing its way forwards. Griffin was not one to disappoint of course and promptly played an impressive solo for them before leaving the ring to a standing ovation.

MAIN EVENT
NON-TITLE
Kore Violet v Tiffany Lynn Page
The match got off to an unexpected start as AJ Rivera and Khloe Bell came out to ringside. They casually made their way around the ring glaring up at the two women in the ring, before sitting down at he commentary table. They were here to see what the competition was like in 5LW, up close and personal. Bell said TLP had proved no match for her, but would likely never fully go away, given she had been wrestling for a hundred years already. Asked about Kore they were dubious whether she was the right person to carry this company on her shoulders, but right now she had the belt in her possession and that can't be disputed. TLP had settled her brief rivalry with Callie Renton last week, at least for the time being, as she set her sights on the reigning Undisputed champion and an opportunity to show why she’s the one to beat in next weeks TV Title match. And she backed it up too, putting Violet through the wringer in this exciting encounter. Page was intent on wearing her down, showing everyone there was more to her game that just bending the rules. Kore though was a master of the dark arts, and pulled one over on the woman that’s been pulling these tricks her whole life. It was a simple eye rake that turns things on its head, and she was back in business, tying the veteran up in knots as she tried to lock on her Starfire. But Page was no rookie, and just about held her off. Eventually she decided to give as good as she got and returned the favour with an eye rake of her own and twisted Violet around to lock on the Resting Bitch Face (Cobra Clutch). Violet tried to wriggle free but Page wasn't letting up as Violet eventually had to throw in the towel! Page had pulled off a huge victory, as the fans briefly cheered. Page looked around at the crowd in confusion, not used to undulation. Bell expressed her disappointment in the result, seeing the champion lose to someone who had failed to take away her own title just a few weeks ago. There was some hype around next week's event, including the TV Title match, and Bell's defence against Lauryn Lawson, as the night came to a close.
