TELEVISION TITLE ELIMINATION MATCH
NO HOLDS BARRED
The night got immediately underway with the much anticipated TV Title match and it was every bit as chaotic as you’d imagine. It didn’t take long for the first elimination though as Ryan Samuels near took Tate Rainer’s head clean off with a Lariat. Falling backwards over the ropes and through the announcers table, the Referee ruled him out of the match immediately, no pinfall required, as medics rushed to his aid.

Unsurprisingly, Mt. Marcellus wanted vengeance on the Midwest Nightmare following their recent bout, but Samuels had seen him coming and a huge brawl ensued. Leati Salavea happily weighed in with the heavyweights, and the two of them swiftly dumped him out the match, Leati making the pin.

Iida Matsuda was throwing windmills all over the shop on the other side of the ring, but the Reckless Dollz had seen enough and put together a Russian Legsweep, Neckbreaker Combination to put an end to her night.

Leati was on the war path now, and took advantage of Rowen being preoccupied. A Pop Up Knee Strike from The One Hitta Quitta and there was no way back.

Andrew Raynes meanwhile had been very calculated up to this point, evading any blind attacks whatsoever but not avoiding the action either. A distracted Khalon Norwood didn’t see him coming and he seized the moment to reduce the field with his Caught in the Rayne (Tazzmission). Norwood fought valiantly but couldn’t get the break they needed.

With Rowen out of the equation Leati turned his attention to Nessa. A good back and forth ensued until he landed a Burning Lariat. He followed things up with a Diving Splash to make it two from two over the Reckless Dollz. Rowen oulled her out of the ring, and th

It was going to take someone savvy to dispose of Andrew Raynes, and Chelsea LeClair proved to be that person. Unable to defeat a resilient Lynn Page he (Raynes) dumped her over the top rope, but with his back turned she (LeClair) rolled him up from behind. He kicked out a split second after the third count but he was having none of it, refusing to leave the ring. LeClair shrugged her shoulders and turned her back, which only irked him more and he attacked her from behind. She fell straight in the path of Callie Renton who paused momentarily, but there was no time for sportsmanship in this game and she took full advantage of the situation with an Asai DDT to see her off.

Renton knew there was more to do if she was going to win this, and turned her attention to the rest of the field. Legion had been waiting on the sidelines watching this all play out and duly pounced when she least expected it, and there be no fairytale ending for the Brat Princess, as Legion delivered a Queendom Come (Hammerlock Back Suplex) followed by Storytime (Double Fujiwara Armbar) to end this chapter.
Cassie Renton eliminated by Legion
Legion stood up and surveyed the chaos around her, but only one person was inside the ring at this point. Leati Salavea was ready and waiting as they stood opposite one another across the canvas, waiting for one to move first. Legion had other ideas though and summoned her followers to get into the ring. This had been her plan all along, and now was the time to execute. Leati suddenly found himself outnumbered but not the least bit phased, instead asking them to ‘bring it’. An unlikely ally appeared though in Ryan Samuels, who slid under the ropes waving his bull rope frantically in the air, as all out war began. Leati somehow found himself on the outside of the ring still going to toe to toe with Kassandra and Danae, as Samuels was one on one with Legion. He whipped her into the ropes and she just about evaded his deadly Lariat but was unsuccessful the second time, stumbling into the turnbuckle. Samuels delivered a second as she rebounded towards him, and the count was made for another big name to be eliminated.

Samuels was alone in the ring now. Salavea on the outside, and Page throwing arms with Griff, when suddenly a noise emanated from the PA system. Heads turned towards the screen. The crowd instantly knew that music. But more importantly Ryan Samuels knew that music too. His back to the entrance ramp, he slowly turned around, as a wild, savage look ran across his face. The crowd popped at the towering colossus as he appeared from behind the curtain. “KANAKA MAUNA! MA GAWD!” yelled the commentators. Samuels licked his lips. “Hot Damn! Retired my ass,” he said as the two began brawling quickly thereafter on the entrance ramp, through the curtains and into the backstage area. Neither of them to be seen again that night.
Griffin Hawkins, who by this point had been actively bouncing from opponent to opponent, was largely unscathed. After tossing Lynn Page over the barrier and into the crowd to an almighty pop, he re-entered the ring to find himself face to face with Leati Salavea. The crowd were excited for what was inevitably going to be a good match and they quickly locked horns. Salavea got the edge early on and dropped Hawkins with a Gobzo Bomb. However, his early dominance and eliminations had come back to bite him as the Reckless Dollz re-emerged, climbing back into the ring with steel chairs. He just about dodged the first but was soon laid out from second, third and fourth shot that followed. The Dollz laughed hysterically as the crowd went berserk at their actions. Hawkins rose to his feet, none the wiser at the injustice. He pulled himself to the turnbuckle and landed the Holy Diver (Swanton Bomb) to put an end to Leati’s title hopes.

And then there were two, and Page knew it. This was not about who was the best wrestler, or the most eliminations. She was ready to seize the moment, sliding under the ropes and hitting Hawkins with a low blow from behind to gain quick advantage. Hawkins tried fighting back with one arm, clutching his drumstick with the other, but she picked up the near by chair and wrapped it around his head. There was no time for anything else.. SEX IN THE CITY! The Codebreaker was enough to see this through as she made the count. One.. Two.. Three!
Griffin Hawkins eliminated by Tiffany Lynn Page
Page climbed atop the rope and raised the belt aloft, pointing to herself in demand of recognition. The crowd didn’t like what they had seen, they wanted a cleaner ending, but Page didn’t care as she swaggered back up the ramp to a chorus of jeers. The commentary team frantically tried to analyse everything that had just occurred, the actions of the Dollz, Legion's Legion, Raynes costing LeClair, and not least the fact Ryan Samuels wasn't technically eliminated. But it was Page that had prevailed, by hook or by crook.
Winner: Tiffany Lynn Page (New Television Champion)
Khloe Bell and AJ Rivera were backstage with Emma Harrington. Bell was in a bullish mood, ahead of her title match later this evening. She said tonight was an opportunity to show what a real champion looks like in the ring, not one who taps out to an old woman like TLP, referring, of course to Kore Violet. She joked that was concerned for her opponent's well-being and whereabouts, and hoped she hadn't run off for fear of embarrassing herself. The questions then turned to Rivera. The reigning Openweight Champion was anticipating a defence of his own in the coming weeks, and welcomed anyone who dare step up to try and dethrone him. Tonight he was focused on further degrading the Undisputed champion, and Arley Kirk.
TAG TEAM MATCH
The NOVA Empire v Unicorn Nerd Inc.
It was only a matter of time that The NOVA Empire would click and everything would align for them inside a 5LW ring, and tonight was that night. All the months of training and the bond between them shone through in this thrilling display. Unicorn Nerd were quick out the blocks and made life difficult but they weathered any potential storm with ease and secured things with an impressive double team, when Otto flapjacked Melody into the air and Jessi caught her with a kneeling head spike, a move they call Nova District II: Devestation X.
Winners: The NOVA Empire
Frank James came out to greet the crowd to a loud pop. It was obvious he had something to announce, and the fans were here for it. He joked that with the roster growing, and shows every week he needed a break. So in two weeks time he was leaving the fate of the booking into the hands of the wrestler's themselves. The fans looked confused. Frank explained that next week there would be a series of qualifiers, and every wrestler that wins their match that night would get to choose their own opponent the following week, at a special event called PICK YOUR POISON. Every wrestler on the roster would be available for selection, more than once if required, and they would all need to be ready at a moments notice should their name be called. However, he added, there was one rule. No titles would be automatically defended that night, in the event one of the Five Lakes Wrestling champions was chosen. The crowd seemed to enjoy this, as the commentators eagerly began trying to decipher who would select who, should they get the opportunity.
HEADLINER
TAG TEAM MATCH
Arley Kirk & Kore Violet v Jay Sinclair & AJ Rivera
Many unknowns heading into this match, as long time rivals Rivera and Sinclair teamed up to take on Kirk and Undisputed Champion Kore Violet. Violet famously doesn’t ’play well with others’ and casually allowed her partner to kick things off. After a great back and forth with Rivera she reached over for a hot tag but Violet pulled away and dropped down off the ring apron. She picked up her title and a mic and headed up the entrance ramp.
Kore: Listen up..
Kirk didn't look very amused, as all three wrestlers turned their attention towards her.
Kore: I don’t need be top of any list to know I’m great, just like I don’t need to win some meaningless tag match. So how about this.. whichever one of you two men can pin HER.. (she pointed directly at Kirk) ..can get a shot at this (she raised the belt in the air). Don’t let anybody tell you I’m not a generous person.
Kirk couldn’t believe what she was hearing as Rivera and Sinclair rubbed their hands in disbelief. By this point the referee had forgotten who was the legal man as all hell broke loose and the two men began beating a poor Kirk around the ring before laying into one another after a series of failed pins. The Referee tried to interject but was accidentally laid out by a mistimed clothesline from Rivera. That’s where Khloe Bell came in, entering the ring and looking to lay out Kirk with her North American Title in aid of her man, but Kirk was resilient and ducked in the nick of time. Bell was tossed to the outside as she wearily made her way to the now standing alone Rivera. Fighting off two men plus Bell though had taken its toll and Rivera looked to be on his way to an Undisputed Title match, but the Ref was still down on the floor when he made the count. Bell tried to revive him but he was still in a daze when all of a sudden the crowd were on the feet with excitement. Griffin Hawkins was sprinting to the ring and before Bell had time to realise he had took her clean out and sent her flying over the barriers and into the crowd, a second victim of the night. He slid under the ropes and turned Rivera around to say no more, fight me instead. Rivera tried shoving him aside, but Hawkins wouldn’t budge and the two began brawling onto the outside of the ring. Meanwhile Sinclair was back on his feet and approaching Kirk who caught him clean with an uppercut. Sinclair fell backwards as Kirk charged him with everything she had left. Sinclair had more gas in the tank though and whipped her into the ropes, but she came hurtling back with a Springing Superkick followed by an AK-95 (Cartwheel cravate driver). The Referee jumped to his feet and made the count for an unlikely victory! Kirk had done it! Hawkins climbed back in and helped her to her feet, the crowd cheering as her music blared around the arena. Sinclair had tried to break the pin but couldn’t reach the middle of the ring in time as Bell and Rivera complained and threatened the officials.
Winners: Arley Kirk… and Kore Violet?
MAIN EVENT
NORTH AMERICAN TITLE MATCH
Khloe Bell (c) v Lauryn Lawson
Bell, still a bit bruised from the encounter earlier, got straight in the face of Lawson before the bell before getting in a quick cheap shot to get things started. Lawson worked her way back in though and proved exactly why she was potential championship material with some intermittent dominance. Bell was not willing to give this belt up easily though, having captured it at the very first Five Lakes Wrestling event and kicked out of a couple of Lawson’s finishers to regain momentum in the latter stages. These two would sell their own Grandmothers to get ahead in this business but tonight they both showed that beneath the dark arts these were two excellent wrestlers, and it was a fitting end to a great match when Bell reversed a Triangle Choke Hold into a Berkocet. She jumped up on the turnbuckle and proudly raised the belt aloft, before celebrating with Rivera on the outside as the night came to a close.
Winner: Khloe Bell (Still North American Champion)
